That plan looks good… !!!
What is this app @bb1508 used to track running in real time?
Its the Nike Run Club App
Do you have a plan, i mean a step by step distance plan for properly getting to 5k? What did you do when you started out running? I’m trying to alternate running and swimming as I hope to take part in triathlons. What was your succession plan bro?
Hey @neetwarrior I would love to share my succession plan with you, more so cause I too share the passion of taking part in triathlons.
TBH, It wasn’t my goal from the very beginning, but as I started tasting success my aspirations grew higher. Triathlon is liked my highest of the highest goal.
Coming to the point :
For achieving 5K under 35 mins was my goal as I wanted to go for a 8 day trek to Kedarkantha
Plan
I had no plan, So I just started walking around my area, after 2 days I started jogging around in a local park.
After a week or so, I started doing sprint laps, essentially I would take 2 rounds walking around a 400m park and then the last lap I would just sprint. My goal was to build endurance and stamina to do a full 400m sprint around the park at a good speed without stopping. That took me a 4 days or so
After that I moved on to doing multiple laps while running around the whole 400 m park without stopping as I wanted to increase my endurance more. While doing this I understood I had to keep my pace steady NOT TOO FAST & NOT TOO SLOW.
Then I got a tracking app and worked on my timings, I started doing 1K non stop, then moved to 3K and then finally 5K non stop running.
So to be honest it took me around a month to prepare for 5K
In Summary
Start small - Slowly increase endurance and stamina - Add in Core workout - then add in stretching - then add in patience
The rest of the story
Then the rest followed, I wanted more and so I started doing 7K’s and 10K’s and ran my 1st marathon, My first inter-city run 14K.
I aspire for more but due to my exam constraints I can’t train much now.
So I am back to doing 1K now… and will slowly move on to 5K in about a week
PM me if you want to know more!!

Love the idea of this group!! I created a family group of the same type, if I weren’t there, I’d definitely join this.
Just wanted to say, I’m in the same fight as well even though we’re in different groups. Improvement upon personal fitness should be a MUST for those pursuing brahmacharya/NF!
