:warning: VERY IMPORTANT POST :warning: REWARD YOURSELF ON OVERCOMING URGES. THE MISSING KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY. :key:

Day 25

Yesterday I again faced intense urges to break my vow of no movies. I now know for a fact that these urges are triggered by stress of fasting and my desire to end my fast by eating fast food while watching movie and perusing dopamine.

The battle was very intense. First I observed the urges with positive perspective. But I was very close to giving in. What helped me in addition was delebrately taking a nap instead of using mobile. Then after an hour of fighting and delaying watching movies, I changed my strategy. And it worked.

I said to myself that you are a good boy. You haven’t give in to urges. You deserve a reward if you don’t give in. Then I went to market and bought salted peanuts and masala nimko and enjoyed that after breaking my fast while watching Islamic videos in yt.

It became very easy to not give in by putting a reward infront of myself, a distraction and alternate pathway to focus on and persue healthy dopamine. Maybe this is the missing key.
