The only book I suggest

Thanks for the book suggestion brother :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ya for real brother. I had those books since 2023 and still haven’t read only Atomic Hbaits and Easy Peasy :skull:
Execution is 90% of it. I mean, @Covertxomic said the same thing. When we have enough motivation, knowledge and purpose, we no longer have an excuse to lose.

Start with Atomic Habits if you haven’t read it. I broke my streak record with it 2 years ago.

Start reading now if you are planning on staying up till midnight. After all, many people choose to read before they sleep. But if you’re sleepy then I suggest you to read it tomorrow. Don’t keep on waiting more than this. You’ve got this brother!

Since I haven’t read the book in a way that’s called reading a book… I can’t condense my knowledge in a single message… :upside_down_face:

I want to share my insights of some quotes from Sun Tzu though… that have helped me win my mind battles and improve my execution in general. I’ll explain what those quotes mean to me and how I use them… :slightly_smiling_face:

I also want share my thoughts on quotes from other philosophers like Epictetus, etc.

But I’d like to make a deal with you…

For every bit of knowledge I share… you share something really valuable to you… with me… precise insights from self help books that have been your game changers or gave you an edge… :eagle:

We can go for…

5 quotes for 5 quotes
Or
10 quotes for 10 quotes…

Let’s share things that are relatively less known by the masses but super effective… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Since you read self help books… I want to trade intelligence with you… Also let me know where to share… on this thread or DM… :dizzy:

Sounds like chatgpt

I have read art of war. It is overhyped. Has some pearls of wisdom but not for everyone because it is literally an instruction manual on war for ancient Chinese generals. That is why I asked if you had read it because though a lot of people recommend it, I would not place it as a first line important to read book.

The other books you have mentioned are all great first line books to read though.
Art of war is good to read if you’ve finished all the others and have some time left.

Hmm sounds like someone’s ego got triggered when he read this…

I swear to God… I didn’t use ChatGPT… Neither Grok… or any AI tool in the world to write what I wrote… Neither ideas nor words…

Even though I do use GPT sometimes to rewrite my text in order to improve my vocab and see where I need to improve… when writing my message to you… I was prudent not even to get my stuff rewritten… because I knew you would label the entire me as fraud…

And I responded in affirmative! I was more than willing to share it but as Sun Tzu says… move only when there is an advantage I held back offering my notes because what would happen… I’ll present my knowledge as a junior and get dismissed, getting nothing in return… neither respect nor the status to be seen as your equal… Since I deemed you a knowledgeable person I thought we could have an exhange like two great minds trading intelligence as equals… But seems like you are lacking… If you were genuinely interested in knowing my findings…

You would have agreed to this

And said… Alright share… I’ll share my nuggets of wisdom too from the self help books I have read…

Rather you got triggered at a place where there was no need… put a false accusation on me and tried to portray me as a hoax lacking original thinking labeling me unworthy to be considered as equal in sharing knowledge…

So instead of any talks of substance where we could share our interpretations and notes… here we are… labeling me as a hoax,

passing judgment on the book

And moving on… Really debellator… what was your intention all along… do let me know…

And also if you find any idea that I took from GPT or got my message rewritten.. even a section of it… do let me know that too by selecting the specific texts… I’ll take as evidence so that I can make a case on Judgement Day against you… that you accused me falsely of using something I didn’t and tried to dismiss my original thinking… attempting to make me look like a fool in front of others… is this how pitiful you are… debellator… This is a challenge to you as well @Covertxomic since you upvoted a post where I’m being accused falsely…

Many books contain husks but the needles that lie hidden in them… make them a must read… Take for example Can’t Hurt Me… there is the father’s tyranny, second dad’s murder and mother’s love interest… is reading them of high significance… not really… the thing that is of real significance are his ways of execution… pasting reminders on mirror, writing achievements and reading them when strength is required… despite its husk people prioritize that book because it contains execution wisdom that must be seized immediately at all costs…

Same perspective must be shared for a book like Art of War… there is the husk and then the needles… and from my point of view… they must be seized immediately… Infact even what seems to us husk containing nothing at times can reveal exquisite nuggets of wisdom if the person satisfies the experience and pressure prerequisites… Take for example the quote…

ā€œIt’s better to take an enemy prisoner than kill him.ā€

Even though it might mean nothing to you and you might find it of no use… it means something of great importance to me… in my world of psychological warfare…

I have spent 6 years with crippling mental disorders without professional help and during this time I read a lot… put scientific principles into practice… took valuable observations and continue till date to write and refine my psycho philosophical notes because they are my survival toolkit in battling my mental afflictions…

As for our knowledge barter… Now that I know you have nothing to offer… no interest and your view of me… as a hoax who copies from ChatGPT… I have no interest in talking to you as well… let alone sharing anything of personal significance like notes with you… Nor do I have any ounce of respect for you anymore…

Know this… works that transcend AI can’t be made using it… whether it’s a poweful write up you accuse me of getting written by AI… or a creative challenge that requires real original thinking…

Sorry if that hurts you. In my opinion art of war is a secondary self improvement book it’s more than about military, from weapons, environmental conditions, and strategy to rank and discipline. You can definitely read this book when you have got some free time left. There are many books in the market you can read.

at last, it’s just my opinion if that hurts you in a wrong way I’m deeply sorry. It’s great to see that book helped you out. And I wasn’t aware of that chatgpt thing , I was into the conversation of art of war. I do agree with @debellator 's some points.

not really, I have no idea why you’d assume that.

okay, cool. I just asked because the way the words were written were the typical mannerism used by AI. Not all phrases, just some. Which is not wrong, lots of users use it to make their posts easier to understand.

calm down dude, no idea why you think I want to label you as a fraud. My goal is to just say that Art of War is a decent book to read when you get free time but should not be a priority one book, in my opinion. However opinion can vary from person to person.

not really, I was confused because you said:

so I assumed you had not read the book.

this is all in your own mind brother. Biggest enemy is your own mind.

If you had read it, good for you, but I am not sure why you have assumed this attitude, which is ironically enough something Sun Tzu would have warned against.

unrelated question: how old are you?

If you see everything as a personal attack, it is a sad way to live. But I was not trying to attack you, rather my point was simply that Art of War is a good read if you have time but otherwise I would not recommend it as a first line book to read. However that is my opinion and it can vary from person to person which is why I asked you if you had read it, from which all the weird answers started.

This is going off the topic of the thread, so I have no real interest discussing it further either.

Subtle. Dismissive. And condescending.

I’d like to clear this up first where you said my words don’t align with Sun Tzu’s teachings…

My study of psychology and philosophy is bound to personal productivity… not social interactions…

So I don’t care if I’m being chill or emotionally charged here… it’s not my domain… and it’s irrelevant to me…

One thing is clear debellator… this wasn’t about the book entirely…

if it was… that GPT undercut would have not come…

Now proceeding…

You and I and any sane person know words aren’t just words… they carry implications…

For example when you say this for a person’s writeup…

You frame him as someone lacking originality…

When you say…

You frame him as someone irrational and overreacting without any reason…

When you select someone’s text and dismiss all its content entirely and ask…

You try to frame him as someone immature without feeling the need to engage with his words…

When you say…

You try to frame that person as someone not able to make sense… incoherent

You said

Answer: For the very same reason you tried to frame me as someone who’s irrational, overreactive, immature, lacking sense and unoriginal without clear evidence… An attempt to place yourself as someone who is well well above my my context…

Cherry on the top…

While wielding a blade draped in honey… asking me to chill while you keep on placing various tags…

You know when you selected this…

I thought we could have any discussion over the idea… but instead you completely dismissed everything and asked me my age… same pattern earlier… you didn’t engage with my words… just labeled me unoriginal…

And amongst all the indirect subtle tags you tried to place… this unoriginal one stings the most…

It’s not about

It’s not about

Why are you offering justifications for something I didn’t use…

You’re still suggesting that I made light use of AI despite my promise that I didn’t use at all… especially in a space where originality is valued and subtle downplays can dismiss original writeups entirely…

If I used AI… even a single word… point it out… I’ll make a case out of this one day…

No matter what you say…

When you said this…

You struck at something sacred to me…
My originality in a space where it matters most…
I’ll never forget it…
And I’ll never forgive you…
