Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
From: Isaiah 41:9 (KJV)
Inspiration
We have chosen to surrender our lives and serve the Lord. We serve Him by witnessing, completing missionary projects, and ministering to those in need. There is always work to do and a world full of people to help. We will look for opportunities to provide for our brothers and sisters in Christ by any means necessary. We are servants to one another as a service to the Lord; He will never forsake us.
Prayer
Dear God, Help us see the world through Your eyes. We desire to serve those around us by reflecting Your love through our actions. You will never forsake us, and we will continually lift praises of thanksgiving to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
From: Esther 4:16 (KJV)
Inspiration
Esther was content with the idea she may have to sacrifice her life for her people if it was God’s will. She loved God and was ready to take action at His command. We are guilty of surrendering part of our life to God, not all of it. We are greedy with our time, finances, and prayers. We overlook those around us who need salvation. We will take a closer look at the sacrifices we make and continue to ask the Lord what we can do to serve Him today.
Prayer
Dear God, Please hear our simple prayer as we yearn to devote all of our time, finances, and prayers to You. What can we do for You today? In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
From: Mark 2:13 (KJV)
Inspiration
Jesus continues to teach us how to strengthen our walk with Him each day. We study His parables to learn more about God and ourselves; while also observing sinful flaws we must address. Jesus is an exceptional teacher. He teaches us how to grow personally and serves as an example of how we should be teaching others. We will continue to study God’s word for direction and use Christ’s life as an example when aligning our own life with the will of God.
Prayer
Dear God, Jesus is our salvation, friend, and teacher. Please direct our focus as we study today. We want to address our sinful flaws and grow closer to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
From: Mark 2:14 (KJV)
Inspiration
We can all admit we do not enjoy paying taxes! People in Jesus’ time were not big fans either. They condemned tax collectors and wanted nothing to do with them because they thought they were thieves. Jesus asked Levi, a tax collector, to follow Him and Levi immediately rose to action. Jesus calls people we consider unfit to fulfill unexpected ministries. If we look closely, we will see the Holy Spirit moving in the lives of others, and we must seek to encourage them. We must remember that God calls the unlikely for tasks that complete His plan.
Prayer
Dear Lord, Please help us see the world through Your eyes and always encourage others as they step into new ministries. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
From: Mark 2:16 (KJV)
Inspiration
As Christians, we must always remain humble. We are sinners just like everyone else, and Christ died for all of us. Sometimes, we look down on others and feel our morals are of a higher standard. We unintentionally think more highly of ourselves and forget that all sins are equal and we are no better than anyone else. Jesus met people where they were; He did not wait for them to come to Him. We must live according to His illustration and share the Good News of salvation with everyone. We will remain humble as we are all sinners seeking the Lord.
Prayer
Dear Lord, Please forgive us when we unintentionally think more highly of ourselves. We desire to remain humble as we share the Good News with our world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
From: Mark 2:17 (KJV)
Inspiration
Jesus did not wait until we were ready to come and save us because He understood we would never be righteous enough! Often, we take a wrong turn as we walk the path of righteousness. We feel bruised and guilty and know we need to get back into the church or start studying more. We think we must become ‘better’ before taking that step because we judge ourselves with an unreasonable magnifying glass. Jesus calls the weary and burdened to follow Him, and He will give them rest. No matter how far we have drifted, God will never forsake us, and we can always come before Him even though we feel unworthy.
Prayer
Dear God, We lose our footing as we walk the path of righteousness. Please guide us back to Your loving arms, even when we feel unworthy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Our prayer life is crucial regarding our relationship with God! Conversing with God helps us discover more about His heart as He bestows wisdom upon us. Prayer strengthens our faith as we continue to seek a relationship with God, and He will guide us as we study His Word. We will make prayer a priority in our daily routine and studies.
Prayer
Dear Lord, We come to You in prayer to strengthen our faith. We seek renewal and guidance as we continue walking with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
From: Luke 14:26 (KJV)
Inspiration
Jesus explains to us that there is a cost to discipleship. We must be willing to give up everything and surrender our lives to follow Him. Jesus sacrificed His life for our salvation because it was part of God’s plan. What is God’s plan for our lives today? Are we willing to give up our time, money, addictions, or relationships to follow Him? We find it challenging to lay down materials, thoughts, or lifestyle choices to walk with Jesus because the cost seems pricey. We will turn to God and ask for strength as we let go.
Prayer
Dear God, We are ready to pay the cost of discipleship. We are eager to lay down everything that separates us from You. Please strengthen us as we answer Your call today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
From: Luke 14:28 (KJV)
Inspiration
We must consider the cost of discipleship as we lay down our lives to follow the Lord. Surrendering our spirit includes changing our lifestyle, relationships, and mindset. We no longer focus on earthly things as our mind concentrates on eternal salvation. We are ready to repent our transgressions and move forward by removing the alluring temptations of sin from our lives. In some instances, these changes may cause sorrow, yet, we continue living life with the new heart God has created with us.
Prayer
Dear Lord, We have invited You into our hearts and are ready to change our mindset. We yearn to be closer to You and live our lives according to Your will and not the worlds. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
