Bible Verse of the Day

October 08, 2024 Tuesday

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
From: Psalm 90:16 (KJV)

Inspiration
Through prayer, we ask for God’s assistance through trials and tribulations. We request positive outcomes, mercy, and peace. We can talk with the Lord about all our concerns for ourselves, our world, and the lives of others. He allows us to bare our souls, and He always listens as we come before Him with humble hearts. We will always seek His will before anything else.

Prayer
Dear Lord, we ask You for peace, comfort, and guidance. We desire positive outcomes, miracles, and blessings. When we bare our souls to You, we seek Your will before anything else. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
From: Psalm 90:17 (KJV)

Inspiration
The Lord gives us plenty of work to carry out during our earthly lives. We know our effort does not amount to anything if it does not align with His will. As we begin new ministries and witness to non-believers, we will call upon the Holy Spirit for instruction and wisdom. We ask for His blessing and inspiration as we complete tasks He lays before us.

Prayer
Dear Father, We are honored to complete works in Your name. We seek Your Spirit for instruction and guidance as we minister throughout our earthly lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
From: Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)

Inspiration
We face many choices throughout our earthly lives and come to the Lord seeking His will. We intend to make good choices and fail without His direction. We must listen carefully and obey His instruction even though we disagree or fail to understand His reasoning. We are limited in our wisdom and will rely on our Creator when it comes time to make decisions.

Prayer
Dear Father, we have multiple decisions to make in our lifetime. Whether big or small, we will come to You for direction and always seek Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
From: Ecclesiastes 9:12 (KJV)

Inspiration
A fish does not know the end is near when it becomes tangled in a net. When we rely on ourselves for decision-making, we are like fish unknowingly caught in the snare of a sinful lifestyle. We cannot depend on our wisdom to evade the snare of sin. We must continue to seek the Lord for knowledge, strength, and faith to avoid dangerous traps. He loves us unconditionally and is always available when we call upon Him.

Prayer
Dear Father, We are quickly and unknowingly trapped by sin! We seek Your wisdom and strength as we maneuver sinful obstacles throughout our earthly lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
From: Exodus 3:10 (KJV)

Inspiration
As Christians, we have a lot of work to do in the name of God. Often, He gives us tasks that seem impossible. We feel unequipped, inexperienced, and afraid. We must remember that we do not understand the wisdom of God. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His ways higher than ours. We trust His knowledge regarding the tasks He assigns us and will get to work right away.

Prayer
Dear God, The tasks You assign us feel overwhelming. We have faith in Your plan and call upon You for wisdom and instruction as we complete all works in Your name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
From: Exodus 3:11 (KJV)

Inspiration
God assigned Moses an extensive job to complete, and Moses questioned his ability to follow through. He did not feel he was a good fit and told the Lord he had doubts. As we read through Scripture, we see countless moments when someone who seemed unlikely is called upon to do something incredible. They feel humbled, overwhelmed, and they fear disappointment. We often have concerns about the work God calls us to complete; we doubt we heard Him correctly or misunderstood the details. We must remember that God’s plan always works out for good; we will remain humble as we undertake a task that seems impossible.

Prayer
Dear Lord, Forgive us when we doubt ourselves or the plan You have established for us. We will accept any task and complete all works as You will. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
From: Deuteronomy 7:6 (KJV)

Inspiration
We have chosen to live in Christ; therefore, our lives must reflect His love and grace. As Christians, we consider our words and actions, understanding that we are an example to others. We will study Scripture and apply it to our everyday activities as we share witness to others and strengthen our relationship with the Lord. We are children of God who live in the world when we are not of the world.

Prayer
Dear God, We are blessed to be Your children and will continue to live our lives according to Your will so we may be a reflection of You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
From: Deuteronomy 7:8 (KJV)

Inspiration
We rest assured knowing God always keeps His word. He tells us His plans for us are good, and we know this to be true because we have seen His hands work miracles in our lives and the lives of others. He promises salvation, and as we surrender our lives to Him, we know our inheritance in His Kingdom is secure. God is trustworthy, and He consistently covers us with His gracious love all the days of our life.

Prayer
Dear God, You have shown Your devotion to us more than once. We remain humbled by the blessings You have bestowed upon us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
From: 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)

Inspiration
As sinners, we feel unworthy of salvation. We observe Calvary and tremble. Christ endured incredible pain for our deliverance when our thoughts and actions are undeserving. Our Creator sees past our sinful nature and into the depths of our hearts. He loves us beyond our understanding and spared no cost to rid our souls of the sin that separates us. We are thankful for His unconditional love and perseverance. We remain humbled by Christ’s selfless act!

Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank You for Your ultimate sacrifice. You see our hearts in a way we cannot, and we are beyond grateful for Your mercy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he
From:.1 Samuel 16:12 (KJV)

Inspiration
God appoints leaders and allows them authority for a time. We do not always agree with our leaders’ decisions or lifestyles, yet, we must respect their position and trust God’s wisdom. His thoughts are higher than ours; He sees much farther into the future than we do, and we will never be able to understand His plan. We rely on our faith while enduring a leader who has conflicting beliefs. God is our shelter and ruler of all things.

Prayer
Dear God, We come to Your in prayer for our leaders. Please guide them in decision-making; so their actions align with Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen…
