Verse of the Day

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
From: Luke 15:17 (KJV)

Inspiration

Regret can consume us when we realize we’ve made a terrible mistake. Often, the outcome is irreversible, and there is no way to fix the problem. We say hurtful things to our children or make poor life choices. We destroy our financial status or damage our marriage. In these instances, we must ask forgiveness and move forward. We cannot move back or to the side, we can only move forward. God knows our mistakes before we make them and His plan for our lives consists of peace and happiness. We know He will lead us onward and work all things out for good.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we have made mistakes than cannot be undone. We rest assured knowing You are present and will lead us forward. Although we may not see it yet, You will work all things out for good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verse of the Day

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
From: Matthew 6:32 (KJV)

Inspiration

Jesus tells the disciples God already knows what they need for survival as they begin their journey and would continue to provide for them every step of the way. They did not worry about clothing, shelter, food, or water because these necessities were always available. God placed people along their path to provide for their physical needs and give them a place to rest. God places people in our lives at just the right moment to meet our spiritual needs. When we face challenging battles, He comforts us by providing spiritual friends to lean on.

Prayer

Dear God, We turn to You in times of trouble because You always know what we need. We are thankful for the spiritual friends You have gifted to us as we experience the challenging battles of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verse of the Day

Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
From: Exodus 16:4 (KJV)

Inspiration

God provided food for the Israelites as they wandered the desert for forty years by raining manna from the sky. They needed Him, and He blessed them accordingly. We desperately need the Lord as we wander through this earthly life. Our Creator designed us to love Him, and we are restless without Him. He is our peace and happiness, our hope in a hopeless world. He is always ready to accept the invitation into our hearts and loves us unconditionally.

Prayer

Dear God, When we seek You, You are there. You are faithful, and we are thankful for Your steadfast love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verse of the Day

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
From: Matthew 6:28 (KJV)

Inspiration

Money is a concern for us all at some point in time. When we live paycheck to paycheck, we stay up at night thinking about how to feed our families and keep a roof over their heads. Even when balancing large sums, we have anxiety regarding how to appropriate funds and what to do if our system fails. Jesus teaches us not to worry about money. God tends to the lilies, rooted firmly in the ground, and He will provide for us when we are struggling. We trust Him with all our worries and remain hopeful amidst any financial concerns.

Verse of the Day

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
From: Luke 12:24 (KJV)

Inspiration

Our world desperately needs the Lord. We often become blind to starvation and poverty when we don’t experience these hardships ourselves. Jesus teaches us that God always provides for those in need, and one way He honors His promise is by using us to supply materials, medicine, or finances. There are multiple mission projects available, and we will listen to God as He directs us to act according to His will; we are honored to be part of His plan to provide for those in need.

Prayer

Dear God, We want to provide for others and listen as You guide us toward mission projects that need our help. We are devoted to You and will continue to help one another when You ask. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verse of the Day

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
From: Luke 12:30 (KJV)

Inspiration

Our Creator knows our hearts; He knows all our hopes and dreams. He understands what will make us happy by bringing comfort and peace to our lives compared to what will devastate us. God is much wiser than we are, and since He recognizes the difference between what we want and what we need, He knows how to bless us. Sometimes we become upset when we do not get our way, and we must remember that God knows our hearts better than we do. He loves us and makes sure we have what we need without unnecessary distraction.

Prayer

Dear Lord, You are our Master and Creator. You know our hearts better than we do, and we thank You for providing what we need and not what will cause us harm. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
From: Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)

Inspiration

Patience is a precious virtue we all desire. We grow anxious about the outcome of numerous situations, wanting answers or results right now. Our earthly journey is exciting, and we often ponder the purpose of our lives. What is God’s purpose for our lives? What are we meant to achieve in His name? There is no need to become concerned if we haven’t figured that out yet. God’s plan is perfect, and His timing is essential to make all things work for good. Let us remember that we can rest assured the answer or result we are waiting for will come in good time because it will be God’s time.

Dear God, We grow impatient when we wait for answers or results over concerns we bring to You. Forgive us for our anxiety and help us find comfort knowing Your timing is always perfect. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.

Verse of the Day

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
From: 1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV)

Inspiration

As Christians, we are careful regarding the importance we place on money. We use our finances to accomplish works for the Lord by blessing our community or funding ministries globally. We thank Him for the financial contribution He gifts to us by seeking His wisdom for its use. We want to be responsible with each blessing by using it as He wills. The world tries to influence us by making money appear more valuable than it is. We know our treasure is in heaven and will use our temporary finances for the word of the Lord.

Prayer

Dear Lord, We are thankful for all Your gifts and will use each blessing as You will. Please direct our attention to ministries where our finances accomplish Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verse of the Day

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
From: 1 Timothy 6:11 (KJV)

Inspiration

We must steer clear from evil snares that direct our steps away from the path of righteousness. The world is abounding with the temptation of sinful lifestyles, and false prophets are enticing as they twist scripture to say our actions or thoughts aren’t wrong. Sometimes we allow ourselves to remain involved in relationships that lead to bad choices or continuance of sinful behaviors. We often allow the masses to sway our knowledge of the Word. We must cling to Christ tighter so we will avoid evil distractions.

Prayer

Dear God, We desire to walk closer to You amidst temptations. We will cling to our Savior and listen as You redirect our steps. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
