:star2: My 21-Day Dopamine Detox Challenge: A Step Toward Discipline, Focus, and Success! :person_climbing:t2:

Hey everyone!
Iโ€™ve decided to take on a 21-day dopamine detox, and Iโ€™ll be sharing my daily experiences here. This challenge is all about resetting my mind, breaking free from distractions, and focusing on what truly matters: achieving my goals and reigniting my momentum.


:no_entry_sign: What Iโ€™m Avoiding

  1. Social Media Scrolling :bird::

โ€œTWITTERโ€โ€”Iโ€™ve removed my accounts from Instagram and Facebook. The only devil that I keep coming back to is Twitter. Iโ€™ve blocked access to these sites and apps on the devices I use, but I canโ€™t do the same on others devies at home.
Goal: I want to be free from this endless scrolling by the end of this challenge and the year 2024!

  1. Binge-Watching Content :tv::

Cutting out hours on YouTube (especially during meals). Time to reclaim my motivation and self-respect!
Cricket used to be my passion, but right now, itโ€™s become more of a burden.

  1. Junk Food & Sugary Snacks :hamburger::doughnut::

The worst habit Iโ€™ve developed this year! Time for a healthier, energized me. Goodbye to those sugary snacks!

Iโ€™ve been struggling latelyโ€”despite studying an average of 9 hours a day last month, Iโ€™ve recently dropped to just 6 hours. I have been through similar phases before, and I know that without decisive action, I risk falling off track

1.Currently cricket season to start, and I am thinking too much about it.I have to stop giving attention to trivial things.

2.Big win of the day was neglecting a whole oreo packet :sweat_smile:
Since marriage season are around, I didnโ€™t ate a piece of sweets alsoโ€ฆ my mother was laughing when I was talking to myself with a whole box of sweets in front of me as I was having a conversation with sweets why I should not eat it :rofl:

3.Positive habit I developed this month is being consistent in meditation, I make sure to sit in asanas everytime filthy thoughts came to mind

Feeling good today after surviving a period of high urges, less drive, tiredness.

It could have been a better day if urges would not have disturbed but I managed to focus on doing meditation.

1.wasted time watching cricket, what the hell I got after following cricket for so many years, nothing at all.
I am just too angry with myselfโ€ฆI will rip apart this obsession with overlly mainstream sport where out of 5 or 6 teams that can play good cricket, it took more than 10 years to win a trophy

One thing for sure is that, this challenge helps in reflecting and getting better where I failedโ€ฆso hoping I will end this challenge with some good results

So yeahโ€ฆ I messed up. I had big hopes for my 21-day dopamine detox, but somewhere along the way, I lost track. It feels exhausting, but you know what? Iโ€™m DONE feeling bad about it. This isnโ€™t the endโ€”itโ€™s just a pit stop.

Iโ€™m starting fresh . No excuses, no overthinking, just action.

Falling doesnโ€™t make us weak; staying down does. So, Iโ€™m standing back up, dusting myself off, and going all in again.
