šŸ”„ POWER-UP CHALLENGEšŸ”„ Escape Chaser effect, Improve Streak Quality & Decrease Risk of RELAPSEā˜€ļøENTERIES OPEN

If you are stuck in a chaser effect and cannot cross 7 day or a specific mark or if you have a High Streak but the motivation and routine is getting lower in quality day by day leading to probable future relapse, then this challenge is for you.

Iā€™ll put in simple terms. To get the necessary boost to get out of the chaser effect or to rekindle your motivation and streak quality, you need to power up.

To Participate in this challenge, mention your name, sharing code, highest and current streak. Iā€™ll add you in the Scoreboard.

The goal of this challenge is to develop permanent habits, skills and discipline that will help us in not only escaping the chaser effect and PMO cycle but also in making and maintaining a HIGH STREAK. The goal is to decrease the chances of a RELAPSE in best possible way.

The rules of powering up are simple.

Rule 1. You cannot watch movies, web series and animes. You cannot play games with female characters in it.

Rule 2. You cannot use any social media application like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, snapchat, tiktok. (for the obvious reasons. Triggers can pop up at any time). You can only use whatsapp and messenger for communication ( you cannot watch statuses or chat in triggering groups or with friends who send you triggering content), and YouTube for education. NO ENTERTAINMENT FROM SCREEN!

Rule 3. You have to DISCIPLINE yourself to be busy. Most effective way to deal with urges is to be busy. So, you have to work or study. Plan and manage your daily routine. Use this opportunity to improve the quality of your life, education, work, or business or job. You will not only successfully deal with urges but also be successful in real life.

Rule 4. You have to meditate everyday starting from 5 minutes and gradually increasing the time and quality. You can focus on your daily goals or nofap reasons and strategies for future emergencies during meditation or you can just focus on your breath and find focus and calmness.

Rule 5. You have to exercise everyday. Start with a 10 minutes home workout if you havenā€™t worked out in a while. 30 minutes to 1 hour exercise everyday is a good final goal. Those endorphins released after the exercise will make you happy and replace the need of instant gratification and temporary pleasure and help you decrease depression, anxiety and ease flatline. You will be healthier, happier and sharper. Trust me, without exercise, relapse is a high probability.

I didnā€™t said that no peeking or edging because itā€™s a given. So you are not only striving for no porn, no masturbation and no orgasm, but also for a complete dopamine detox.

Peeking and edging will make you lose this challenge (PERMANENTLY) , but if you donā€™t follow the 5 rules YOU ARE OUT TOO!!!.(JUST RESET YOUR POWER UP STREAK, YOU ARE STILL IN THE CHALLENGE).

Donā€™t worry you can participate again if you fail the 5 rules but RELAPSING to PMO will get your name permanently eliminated!, NO second chances, SO TAKE THIS CHALLENGE SERIOUSLY!

You can check in everyday or whenever it suits you with your current noPMO streak and current POWER UP streak (the 5 rules) (So people will have different streaks due to different current streaks and its alright). You can also add the details of the 5 rules like no screen entertainment, time given to study, meditation and exercise etc.

If you just want to practice NO PMO and donā€™t want to power up with 5 rules altogether, itā€™s fine too. You can mention which rule you are working on gradually improving your level.

The goal here is to discipline ourselves with a proper routine and trigger free environment so the quality of our streaks improve, the chances of relapse decrease greatly and those stuck in chaser effect or PMO cycle get enough power and discipline to escape. Making a routine with the 5 rules will take time so failure here is nothing to worry about but you should try again for the POWER UP, YOU SHOULD NOT ABANDON IT. (Its your choice but the goal of this challenge is to power up and reduce chances of relapse)

Best of Luck. I hope this challenge helps everyone.

Here are some tips to avoid a relapse and practice long term NoPMO.

:sunny:5 PRACTICAL and EFFECTIVE POINTS to AVOID and DEFUSE a RELAPSE :sunny:

POINT 1. Learn to automatically divert your eyes away from triggers. Maybe you dont want to stop using youtube or watch a movie, Ok no problem. But you need to train your mind and eyes to not check out the opposite gender and only look at their face. By following this, you will get expert in dealing with popups and surprise triggers.

But If you are early in your noPMO journey then its better to avoid all triggers. Go on a dopamine fast (no dopamine and entertainment from screen). Just avoid visual and auditory i.e. ALL TRIGGER. Stay the hell away from screen, social media and movies (also series and animes). Donā€™t check out girls or opposite gender.

POINT 2. Stay busy to defeat physical urges. Donā€™t fight the urges, it will get powerful if we concentrate on it. Staying busy is the ultimate weapon to defeat horniness. Staying busy for a lifelong goal and dream is better. Follow a routine. Donā€™t divert from it.

POINT 3. Never fantasize. If a sexual thought comes, just focus on something else. It just takes 5 seconds to redirect to a new thought. Entertaining a thought will increase its power and make you more horny and create powerful urges. So focus on something else.

POINT 4. Donā€™t touch your privates ever. Donā€™t put your hands in the pants. NO Touching!!!

POINT 5. Remember your horrible feelings after EVERY. SINGLE. RELAPSE!!!. No porn will satisfy you. No masturbation will make you happy. PMO will not decrease your stress. It will not relax you. You donā€™t need PMO to feel good. You donā€™t want PMO anymore. YOU ARE NOT ATTRACTED BY PMO ANYMORE. YOU VIEW PMO AS DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE AND VOMIT PRODUCING. YOUR PAST IS PAST. NOW YOU ARE A NEW AND BETTER PERSON. AND YOU WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT CRAP!!!.

After breaking from the conscious mental attraction of PMO, now just take a cold shower or put cold water on your privates (if you know for sure you wonā€™t touch yourself). Then stay busy in your task. Or take a walk, socialize, eat or drink something and exercise.

Practice these 5 points. Make it a habit and you will NEVER relapse!!!

Congratulations, you just avoided and defused a relapse. You are getting better at this. SOON , YOU WILL ACHIEVE HIGHER STREAKS AND BREAK FREE !!!. MAN, YOU are SIMPLY AWESOME :fire::fire::fire:

@Lion_786 @s123 I have added you. Best of luck for your journey.
If you believe you can do it, you can do it. You just also have to do what it is required of you. Belief and action.

Current Streak Day 4
Power up seems more difficult than I imagined. I found it difficult to stop watching animes during boredom. I have to substitute this pastime. I have to start exercising. Also after exams, it is difficult to start studying again. But I made improvements in other areas.

I meditated 10 mins.
I did not use any social media.

Powerup 2/5ā€¦ Iā€™ll make it to 5/5 to start my Powerup Streak.

Those people who relapsed on day 1 or 2 or before 7 in this challenge are still in this challenge. Donā€™t worry, just get out of the chaser effect, make your Streak Day 7 and then your relapse will count as a relapse.

And do check in when you can as check in will greatly benefit you as a reminder of your goal.

Chaser effect caught me for 14 days. Previously I relapsed on day 5. I thought chaser effect was over. So beware bro, this 1 to 3 weeks are really dangerous.
Best of luck

Check in Day 1

I think now I am ready to quit movies, seasons and animes. My 99% relapses occur due to it. First I start watching clean movies. Itā€™s easy to control. Then I search for entertainment and it comes with nude scenes on the side. I think I can guard my eyes. I do guard but 0.5 seconds of Triggers happening over and over again somehow wake up the dopamine craving monster that I had put to sleep. A few days later, I relapse.
So to quit PMO, I need to quit watching movies, seasons and animes. I also need to start studying.

For the rest of the 5 rules,
I meditated 10 mins.
I exercised 10 mins.
I did not use any social media.

If I just guard my eyes and watch my thoughts, I will be able to break the initial chains.

Time to Power up

Hello @NeverGiveup420
we all have a same pattern so I think we should First Fix the habit of watching p@rn (also called as peeking in nofap)
There is a dedicated thread was available only to reduce peeking.(discourage to peek regularly)

Here Is a link for that

I invite you to join if You like the concept. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for sharing. I understand the root cause lies in not guarding our eyes. Peeking leads to relapse.

:joy: I could not stop myself from watching clean animes and clean movies. The problem is I am bored and need some fun thing to do. Maybe I should increase the amount of studying I do and decrease the screen time to normal where it is not considered binge watching anime.

To replace movies and animes, can anyone suggest a good fun activity?
