NeetWarrior's Path of Redemption [17 M]

@Tagore John Kabat-Zinn is the author who I’m reading right now. His teachings in mindfulness and meditation compiled and simplified from Buddhist, Hindu, Zen, Tao and a variety of practises, are awesome. If you want to practise the mindfulness lifestyle and want to learn more about it and meditation that is where i suggest you start. His work reads out like poetry, a beautifully compiled collection of little ideas and concepts we can take and develop on our own, on our own unique jorneys.:smile:

Also, thanks for the support man, seriously, it means a lot. Push harder and harder every day, that is the only way to live this life. Until I am truly exhausted and I literally can’t do no more (pushing through the 40% role), I have given my all, everything I can that day, I haven’t lived my life. It is on that day I can honestly say : I live. I want to be in discomfort, every point of the day. Not because anyone is watching, because that is the person I am, who I want to be right now.

In the afternoon, I was so fucking exhausted as a result of the intense swim session and got passed out cold. I don’t even remember going to bed, and I woke, 3 hrs later! Guys, if anybody is looking to spice up your exercise routine, take up swimming. There is nothing like a body of water to humble your soul. Even the most egoistic prick in the world can be humbled by a lake or a pond in an instant (provided he cannot swim yet, of course!) Also, it is one of those exercises it is very difficult to half ass, because if I half-ass midway in a pond, I will very likely drown so that’s a definite plus.

Also, I watched 5 episodes of series today, for absolutely zero fucking reason!! That I think, is a weakness of mine. I should not even sit to watch one episode of any series. I should know better. Sitcoms and series are designed to make you sut and binge on them. Damn. I am continuously drawn to sitcoms, as an escape from my supposedly mundane life and insane amounts of pending work. Also, my social life is messed up (going out to socialise is…hmm… let’s just say ill advised) and I am seeking comfort in sitcoms, seeing all these attractive people’s lives, momentarily escaping from mine. This is indeed choosing the path of least resistance. This, I believe is the reason most people watch anime too. Sure, it is way better and well made compared to some other mediums of entertainment like YouTube content, gaming streams(what the fuck is even is the point of those!!!) etc, but still fills me with dopamine, exhausting me (possibly due to eyestrain) and reducing my drive for the rest of the day.

Now that I think about it, me watching those series is the more probable reason for my failure to complete the checklist today, more than my exercise.

Well fuck that shit!!!

I need to make some decisions (ie take some actions) to manage my time like a legend. That is the one skill I desperately need to improve. As is obvious from my daily reports, I suck ass at managing my time and getting the maximum out of each day. Let’s see if we can’t get more efficient and less bitchy. Without the ability to manage my time like an absolute fucking chad, I will never reach anywhere near where I want to reach. That is a fact.
But, when I am able to master that skill too and get to that level, there is no force on Earth that can stop me from getting exactly what I want, being in the moment throughout my life, achieving everything I have dreamed of achieving, and beyond!!! That too, is a fucking undeniable fact!!

Good night guys.

(This stuff is optional, but need to do it, especially when feel bored and brain fogged, like what happened today. Next time, we are making time for this between study breaks :muscle:)

Had intense brain fogs in the afternoon, mild urges to fap, and as I am not a fapper, I gently pushed them aside and moved on. I’m noticing a pattern where I start my day off with a bang, waking up real early, starting off well…but the momentum starts trailing by around 1000 hrs or so…getting more and more out of focus and weak. Need to figure out why and fix it. 1% improvement every day. I don’t want to be in comfort anymore. I don’t wanna quit midway. I don’t wanna half-ass anywhere. I don’t wanna sit down to rest. That is not who I am anymore.

I am a NoFapper. I just don’t fap, I’m a guy who doesn’t even look at porn. That is as much a part of my identity as my hair colour, my height, the shade of my eye, my personality, my soul. A universal fact, as constant and irrefutable as the rising of the sun in the east, and it’s setting in the west when we see it from this beautiful Earth.:smile:

Looks like I’m in a slump guys, we know what I must do. Less talk, more action. I’ll take up a very simple task tomorrow first thing in the morning at 4, then will execute it to perfection. Don’t feel very good as this is not my natural state. Brain fog is just resistance to changes I’ve made and all we have to do is push through it.

No better way to say it. I got lazy today. Must work on my patience and ability to work better without being distracted for extended periods.
Mindfulness is the key. During the day, we aren’t sleeping, true, but are we all really awake?

Focus : on habit building. Need to figure out the most productive times of the day to do my tasks, and must focus more on building habits out of them. These tasks will be part of who I am by the time I’m done, part of my identity, just like NoFap is. As natural and instinctive as walking, opening a door, writing…

Motivation DOES NOT last. Only DISCIPLINE does.

Any idiot can get motivated. The real challenge is taking that motivation, shaping it into discipline and infusing that discipline into the very fabric of your being.

Discipline is freedom.

Good night guys.

Still difficult putting out hours. Anyway, not gonna let it bother me. I want to be a person who is hardworking, consistent, able to grind out continuously. I wanna be the guy Goggins described as uncommon among the uncommon.

Started reading Atomic Habits. The book is phenomenal. I was immediately hooked. It is starting to make a lot of sense. Unlike Wherever you go, which is a collection of ideas and concepts for us to make use of as we please for our meditation, Atomic Habits is an instruction manual and I read around 100 pages of the book because it resonated with me so much. I have been giving my life a lot of thought, about why I haven’t been able to do what I set out to and such. This book will really help me. Thank you @Tagore for talking about the book and interesting me in it.
Anyhow, no time like the present to start doing stuff. Got to be aware, and vigilant all the time. Live in the present moment, conscious of all my actions and outcomes of said actions. I don’t regret that I started this journey late now(I really used to before). I realise everything has to unfold in it’s own time. My path of discomfort has started and there is no going back.

Good night guys.

Going on a full 36 hour digital and dopamine detox.

I really don’t wanna be using any form of technology if it was upto me, but it has become so essential that I really cannot do much without it. It’s painful. The past few days I have been so absent, confused and lost, and that reflects on my lack of journal entries. I feel so sad, lost and in general, depressed. I don’t feel too good guys. My personal life is feeling so off right now… It’s like my brain has …melted…This led to relapse a few days back, then the chaser got to me…Still picking up the pieces…

I’m feeling so so sad, depressed, isolated and hopeless right now, and tech and the internet is not helping. Let me take a break from everything and hopefully, I’ll feel happier and more energised after?

There are some serious underlying issues man, some hidden demons I have to face, this past days have been sending me just this same message, over and over again and again. There is something fundamentally wrong with me, the kind of person that I am…I don’t know man…I’m feeling so sad right now…

I’m sorry if you’re reading this and none of this makes any sense. I just need to get this out of my system. It’s crazy how I’ve been working so great for the past 2 weeks, feeling amazing and in just a span of hours I feel like I’ve lost everything and there is no more hope for me in life…Nothing seems to be making any sense anymore…Nothing feels true or real…I’ve started to feel incredibly lethargic and in pain…I have no idea what is going on guys…Maybe I pushed myself too hard too fast? Maybe disawowing all comfort at once wasn’t the way to go?

Like I said, cannot seem to make sense of my own thoughts, can’t seem to be able to trust my own feelings right now. I need to sit with them for sometime…I must make sense of what is going on…My own instincts seem to be failing me right now. I’m sorry if this is what most of you guys expected of me…Sorry if I let any of you down, but none of that feelings compare to what I’m feeling right now, the feeling i have disappointed myself.

Is it just a part of my age? That I’m feeling this hopeless and confused? Is this just a phase everyone has to go through? Right now I find myself second guesing every choice I have ever made in the short span of my 17 year old life on this earth. I feel like I’m not good at anything. I feel like all the choices I have ever made were against me, and they compounded over the years, forming me into a terrible useless person.

I will back to the forum in 2 days

Whatever it is I’m feeling and fearing, I need to deal with all of that right?

Stay sharp guys…

Take your time man, this technology, ■■■■, internet everything together is destroying the greatness within us. Most of us are walking in the opposite direction of unlocking our potential. Today I did a self analysis of my phone use and I too feel like a worthless peace of shit now because I spent 300 hours from August 1 to September 30

Ie. 12.5 days spent looking at phone.

Can you even imagine about someone spending this much time on his phone becoming great?!
Among this 300 hours, 100 was spent on productive activities like online classes, reading and all
The rest 200 was wasted.
If I had used those 200 hours and repeated it 50 times then I would have completed 10,000 hours of work
Ie. I could have become a genius in whatever I do.
I said this just to let you understand the reality of this technology and these shit!
No one coming to help us bro.
Stopping PMO will take away almost 70-80% of your struggles.
You’ll reach a. Point where you can manage anxieties, fear and pain in a more mature way.
You can do this.
