@mphexpert alright, youāre status is now āactive.ā
You can check in day 1 whenever your ready.
Welcome back.
@FighterLife - I know the feeling. Stay with us in the group. A relapse is not the end. You will find your strenght. Try to analyse when you started lusting and what happened with your thoughts. We are with you and will continue the journey toward PMO freedom. We need you in this group and you will be back in no time.
Check in day 2 feeling good and relaxed
Hey I will be attending a Zoom SAL meeting tonight at 8 PM Mountain time or UTC-6. It is a great group of about 40 to 60 men that are trying to recover from addiction to porn, masturbation and lust. It is the best group that I have ever attended and I have been attending 12 Step groups for 13 years. If anyone wants to come you are all welcome it starts in 38 minutes. Go to this link https://sal12step.org/mens-sal-12-step-meetings/ and look for online meetings. You will find the list of zoom meetings. You may need to register to see the list of meeting.
Thank you brother. I really do need to analyse what happened and hopefully I will be able to learn from it.
And as I heard from someone:
There is nothing called bad relapse if you learnt something from it.
Thank you for your support. I will not go anywhere, donāt worry
I will just leave for a day or 2, hoping to regain power and make a new plan.
I got hit today. About 2 hours ago. I was watching a normal movie and out of no-where there was a scene. I was able to get out in about 1/2 second. But now I have to be careful with my thoughts. No intentional movement toward lust. That is the plan.
My relapse was because of that in the first place. A scene is enough to pull for more. Thoughts get bigger and bigger, stronger and stronger, and more dangerous.
Keep your streak going and donāt fall for a small unnecessary scene, like I did.
I think my main cause was due to excessive use of YouTube. Those āShort Videosā being like tiktoks are very dangerous.
@Reaper097 - Thank you for sharing and making your check-in. It is only the beginning of the journey.
@FighterLife - That is a really good analysis.
Those quick hits that can come from no where with no warning can be so damaging. We live in a world that puts so much emphasis on sex, nudity and those things that we can hardly go anywere and do anything without having these lust hits or images get to us. The secret is what do we do with it. Do we keep it inside and let it fester, grow and become more and more in our thoughts and fantasies.
For me @FighterLife that is the real battle. Not moving in the direction of lust with my thoughts.
One of the things that I have found that helps me a lot is to share with someone else the lust hit. Making contact with someone and talking about it. It helps. Somehow our addiction gets its power from secrecy and isolation. We can break that secrecy and isolation by being active in the group, by making phone calls or Whatsapp calls. I go to meetings and I share what I am living.
If anyone wants to have my WhatsApp number please message me privately.
Day 32
