In your experience,, does a nofap app work?

I am curious because I have heard that thinking about the thing you want to avoid leads you more to it and I i have heard its better not to count the days so in your opinion is it better to count or not?

The truth is that, First you have to make up your mind to stop fapping, counting days is just secondary

In my opinion its more like a habit, when was the last time you counted the days when you ate a meal, or took a shower or went to sleep? I believe nobody would be counting those. So we should perceive this habit of masturbation same way, counting days won’t get you far but developing a habit will do. At the end when you have contolled yourself for long you will realise the days were just a number, the thing that changed is your habit.

Yes you are right, we need to make it a habit

Porn blockers are work in my opnion
It keeps you away from everything so you don’t have so many urges. If you happen to stumble across something like that. In many apps, you set which words block the screen when they appear.
I recommend Xblocker

Counting days in the No-Fap journey is not obligatory
I first was counting days untill day 76
And i stopped counting after that
Because you are free from addiction once you make up your mind and stop it
So day 1 is like day 100 no difference
But i am celebrating only the special days just to let myself know that i achieved something in this journey andnto stop the devils inside me tell6me that your journey has given you nothing just give up and relapse
So if you want to count ,count only the special days in my opinion
Next to that app
Believe me the more you read topics in this app the more you will understand more things that will help you in your journey
You will see how people are fighting this beast and how they fighted him
You will see people making great achievements here
Which will make you want to be like them or more than them
So finally it’s your decision either stay or not

You are absolutely right. That’s why I downloaded apk’s to get the premium version. But it’s a bit risky so I tried everything I could. I found one (Xblocker-Porn blocker and) . Works perfectly I think it’s the best. You don’t even have to pay
But you have to block the app itself thus you cannot delete

For me blockers never worked because i used to feel anxiety of being deprieved from porn
And i never lasted more than 5 days
But now without blocker i go on 8 days 6 days and etc and i donot have any anxiety
Whenever the urges hit
I say no i dont want u and i just keep going
I do relapse on few occassions
But now i need to figure out how to deal with those shocking thoughts that cause me relapse

And if you are using a porn blocker, you will always be tempted to just click unblock

@VAGABOND you’re right, I am doing same here reading many post and keeping myself occupied. Many post here are very useful, same time very inspiring too when you see others completing 100 days or more it somehow encourages you that even you can do it. It makes things easy at many level.

@TheSeeker and @DARSHAN2017 for smartphone pornblocker, I couldn’t find a good free apk and many times it don’t work at all. I would say refrain from using chrome because the blocker won’t work for it. There was one fee app called porn block app available in galaxy store which actually blocks the websites for free in your default internet browser.

For desktop I am using free chrome extensions like BlockAge Adult blocker, Simple porno blocker, StayFree - Website Blocker and Web analyst and PorNo! Porn blocker (beta)

But ya as you said @mayorRP and @DARSHAN2017 it just take a smiple unblock button to go back to it. So it’s useless if your mind is not in control but in few cases it may come handy.

That is the problem with porn blockers, @LL667788 , most of the app are sponsored by porn sites and even the stars in adult entertainment.

You see if you use porn blockers @DARSHAN2017 , you have conditioned ypur mind, and the zeal to fight against porn will be less

Some based corn blockers are useful because produce that alot of friction and make it harder to access that content. Which does help break a habit

That’s a good point actually. I find that porn blockers don’t really work and their premium version can be quite expensive.

Wow what a powerful point.

That is true, but how do we know the one that is good, but however, i have already made it a lifestyle not to fap or access porn, so i am not worried

Social media is very harmful in your journey to stop masturbation and porn, Twitter is a hub for porn, Facebook allows nudity in their Facebook status post, telegram is hell and home to porn.

It all requires discipline

Glad it did help.
