I really need help!

Ever since my longest streak for 55 days I’ve been in a relapse loop. And this relapse loop has lasted for a good month and I’m tired of it. I’ve been beating myself up over it and it’s just makin me feel bad. How do I get out of this loop?

Why do you think this cycle is happening?

Whenever you get the urge to masturbate😖, tell this to yourself that lust has risen not in me but in my mind, and only tolerating the urges will destroy the urges, acting according to the mind will only increase the lust which has risen in your mind. When urges come, do not fear them, but think that urges are like small waves in a pond which would eventually disppear, urges are temporary, you have to deal with them only for a small period of time🕐.

When you get urges, the mind will try to take shelter in certain places(bathroom :bathtub:), actions(masturbation), things(mobile :iphone:or PC
:desktop_computer:) and most importantly contemplating :thought_balloon::thought_balloon: on the act of masturbation.

So what you have to do is, DO NOT go anywhere near to bathroom to masturbate, DO NOT keep your mobile phone near you, DO NOT contemplate on masturbation nor fantasize about porn, rather IMMEDIATELY change your thoughts, think about God, or anything good.

The devil :smiling_imp::japanese_ogre: of lust Never 🙅‍♂ get satisfied, I mean NEVER. So trying to calm it down by some actions like PMO is not a great idea.

If you refuse🚫 to your mind to masturbate, the next urge will be less stronger, and when you say no again, the next urge will get weaker, and this goes all the way up to a point where you would get no urges at all! I have experienced it.

Take care that no actions are done according to your mind. This how you kill your mind, until only you(soul) remain. Kill :hocho::coffin:the mind slowly, daily, this is how you get free from PMO (or lust) ultimately. Because as long the mind is there, it will NEVER stop contemplating or taking shelter in a certain place, action, thing to satisfy itself. Killing :coffin: the mind is the ultimate way.

Hope my answer adds any value to your life.:innocent:Have a nice day.:bouquet:

It’s very simple. You either want to do NoFap or you don’t want to. You know the answer to this if you keep relapsing.

I’d suggest you to stick to a NoFap decision for altleast 90-100 days and see the results for yourself. Any decision after that and you’ll know the consequences of relapsing.

Life is very simple. You are either run by the mind (you surrender) or you run the mind (freedom).

Good luck!

You’re right, when I FINALLY decided to do nofap for life, it’s only after that decision that I’m on my best streak now. Sticking to your decision is very crucial. Determination will take us to our goal. :dart:

Don’t give up stand up and try again, what worked for me is i reward myself each time I reach a new milestone by eating outside or buy clothes or video games what I want to say is don’t beat yourself when you relapse move on and when you reach your goal reward yourself with something you want and remember keep on keeping on no matter what don’t give up .

There’s some good advice in these comments on how to get out of the loop, I personally can’t remember how I did but I knew it took me a long time… All I can say as words of encouragement is don’t give up because eventually it does stop and your mind goes back into focus to hit those long streaks. You’ll feel it as soon as it hits so hang in there

Then you’ve got to figure out why you’re letting it happen. When you take on this road of nofap you accept that urges will come strong because you are addicted, but you have to be certain that you won’t relapse. A good way for me to stay strong is to remember why I started and remember where I’m going. Then you’ll have the strength. Disconnect from this thing we call pmo and connect to what you want to become and the things that’ll get you there.

The best weapon against the PMO is knowledge, read the book and become the best version of yourself. It is still January 1st and 2021 will be your year.

If you are already tired of relapses, fight. Perhaps addiction was not your choice, but staying with it is your choice.

Best advice ever. This book breaks the brainwashing about pmo. And the ways that we have been trying to go out.
Please @anon9498230 read the book.
Good reading.
