I need help... desperately

I am 16 years old. I’ve been addicted to pornography for about 10 years. I do it every single day. It’s a constant battle between me and myself as I try to quit it. I just want to get rid of it. I am aware of the consequences of doing it and yet I keep on doing it. I don’t want it anymore. I am desperate. It causes problems with my religion, relationships, day-to-day activities, the way I view women, and the way I see myself. Please help me. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Follow what your religion says.
You are 16 I don’t think you need mobile for now.

First of all Give your mobile phone to your parents. Whenever you need it, take it from them and use wisely.

Social media is so dangerous. Please delete all social media apps. Don’t watch any content on YouTube/ Instagram.

Wake up early ( Before sunrise )
Do regular exercise
Meditation
Give time to your hobby/talent
Book reading will give you more pleasure than PMO.
Study hard ( Fix your study schedule )

To leave a bad habit you’ll have to build good habits.
And lastly believe in God and believe in yourself. You can’t think how much powerful you are.

You’ll win, You will definitely win.
I Pray For You Brother  May God Bless You And Shows you the right path and gives you the power to follow the right path.

Welcome to the Rewire Companion Forum @adriannnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Don’t worry you’re not alone. I’m 17 and I’m struggling just like you and I used to relapse more than you a few years back.

First, start reading The Easy Peasy Way To Quit P.orn it’s the best book you can find about this addiction. You can also find it here

Second, start doing good habits and fill your free time. For an example, if you’re a fat guy trying to lose weight and you want to eat a cheese burger so bad, you can eat healthy food until you are no longer hungry. You will no longer want that cheese burger too. Start replacing that empty time and feeling with something productive to make you not bored and the urges ho away. Habits like exercising, taking cold showers, meditating, playing an instrument, Reading, spending time with family, cleaning your room…

Third, you can download Safe Surfer and Blocker Hero apps from play store. They are the best P.orn blockers out there that will make watching P.orn really really hard that is if you ever find away to do that.

Fourthly, you can join one of the challenges here in the Forum. It will give you the right energy to surpass your limits and make this journey a lot more fun. Challenges like

Or

You can read Atomic Habits Book if you want also. It was the book that made me break my record to be honest.

If you need any help, we are here. This is one of the best communities to help you if not the best. We are a big strong family and your are no guest here but our brother and trust me, you will conquer your addiction because you can especially since

You are a f*kin teenager like me! We are still young but mature as well, we can change the plan.

Thank you for the advice. I forgot to mention, I actually do good in class and have been doing most of the good habits you’ve mentioned. However, I am not content as long as this addiction is still present. Thanks again for the advices!

Well, I will tell you but no chance you are from Bulacan(Bulakan)? :joy:

@adriannnnnnnnnnnnnnn , I recommend getting a safe search app for all of your devices. That will protect you from all the PMO. My parents use Questodio, it blocks inappropriate content, tracks which apps you use and how long you use them, and can set a screen timer. It’s a good software to use.

Also, if you haven’t already, use Duolingo. It will keep you occupied, and you’ll learn a new language!

And Binocular is right. You should join a challenge. Start off slowly, and when you feel comfortable, start to join more complex ones. I am currently working on a challenge, The Lupus Challenge. You can join anytime, and I think it will help distract from the bad stuff you look at.

Hope this is helpful! Keep fighting the good fight, and stay strong!
