I understand. Bollywood movies are highly commercialised which appeals to the North Indian audience. You rarely find movies without item songs or songs without dancing. As a Malayalee and as a person who grew up watching Malayalam movies, and Hollywood, my standard for a good movie is different. It’s story first and acting second. Rest doesn’t really matter to us. And in that way ,as a movie targeted towards the north Indian audience, it might be a really good movie, but for me, it’s still garbage and no way close to what Knight and Day is. As a Malayalee, we have prejudice towards original movies. Not a big fan of copies at all

It’s a well known fact that south Indian movies are better. But you know what I find funny is, that most Bollywood fans diss south Indian movies but watch the dubbed south Indian movies in the respective Hindi channels, I don’t know the name. Hypocrisy 101

Theres 4 languages. Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. And all 4 have different movie industries, all are different and unique one way or the other. It might be difficult for you to differentiate between them though. There’s a lot of similarity among the languages

I don’t mean that he’s an average actor, I was talking in terms of acting. One thing that I always notice in tom cruise’s acting is that he always talks and behaves in an “I don’t care, I ain’t gonna die no matter what comes up” attitude and to be honest it’s kinda have been the same throughout his career. Actors needs to give some variation, something different, something out of their comfort zone. Still he is a great actor, an untouchable action star, and probably the last of the Hollywood superstars.
Like DiCaprio in each movie he gives something different in his acting, but it is also he chooses different roles each time. Tom cruise has been an action star and mostly action movies suits him so…
Anyways that’s what my point was that a great actor needs to have variation. Talking about Tom cruise he has perfected the action genre but didn’t put much step into other genres, so that’s why I called it average. He is unbeatable in terms of action (man jumping of cliffs at the age of 58) but in other themes he may lack behind. He is one of those characters who have achieved mastery in one skill but ignored others completely. Still no disrespect to him and his fans (I’m one of them).

Yea but then again, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky, Valkyrie.njone of them are action movies per se and his acting is amazing. But yea, not as much variations as he should be doing. But Hrithik Roshan ain’t that different either. Dhoom 2, Bang Bang, Krish 1 & 3 I still don’t know how Krish 3 is 3… War. All of them action movies. But then again, he has various roles like in Kabil and one of my all time favourites, Koi Mil Gaya. Epic movies and his acting was outstanding. However, my favourite era was the 1980s and 1990s. The Kaho na pyar hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham era was pure gold. The best. Those movies are amazing!
