Marching towards completion of an 8 day streak. It was a tough day. Had some fierce battles with my urges but when the dust settled, I had prevailed.
Onwards we go to double digit streaks.
I know it’s going to get tougher but if there’s one thing video games have taught me, it’s that if you’re encountering resistance, you’re moving in the right direction.
P.S. I don’t play video games anymore.

Today wasn’t very productive. Study took a major hit.:expressionless:
Spent all day fighting the urges. I was too horny and did let my mind run wild with some vivid erotic imagination. I was like, “I’m neither watching porn nor masturbating, so i guess it’s okay”. But then I had an epiphany. I realised that this is what I do everytime. This is how I fall down the rabbit hole everytime. So I just stopped. I didn’t even allow myself to imagine erotic stuff. It was hard and I had a few slip ups too but I didn’t let them take root.
Day 9 Complete!! Double digits, I’m coming!! :fire:

A few good things about today:
  • Took a cold shower :cold_face: :shower:
  • Read another few pages of ‘The Rational Male’ by Rollo Tomassi. :open_book: :books:
  • Did a decent home workout. :muscle:

I have bounced back and made almost a 3-day streak but now I have relapsed again. This cycle is just eating me

I read it, I know what you meant like when these urges to PMO or whatever comes you should change the topic in your mind because, in the end, it’s all in mind when you succeed in this doing this then maybe for that instance of time have won against the urges

Yes, the ‘snap out of it’ technique simplifies the process.
If you think about quitting PMO altogether, it seems like an insurmountable task and you might be overwhelmed. With ‘snap out of it’, you’re dealing with one urge at a time.

It is effective but It just works for 1-2 minutes because you know the thoughts that were bothering you are still in the background.

Strange day. I don’t feel like making a journal entry because my day wasn’t that great. I can be a lot more productive than this.

Studied in the morning. I decided to lie down for a bit after lunch and fell asleep :sweat:. Didn’t workout today but that was intentional (I regret it now) because I was planning to workout on alternate days. Gonna scrap that plan and continue my daily workouts.

Spent a lot of time on the forum today. Shared a strategy that I’ve used to avoid PMO in the last couple of days. I call it the ‘snap out of it’ technique. It has played a pivotal role in getting me through the toughest days of my streak and I know it’ll continue to serve me in my fight against PMO.

It happens bro, don’t let it put you down. You are already doing great, somedays will be spent being less productive and it’s ok as long as it don’t become a routine. Even I didn’t do basic homeworkout today cause of different reasons, but I’ll surely do it tomorrow. Keep going ahead and ya snap out of it is the technique I have used in the beginning of Feb, it really helps when you see it from a third person view and tell yourself to get out of the situation you are in. So relax bro you did the best you could do today. :smile:

Another suboptimal day. Studied a bit. Worked out.
There’s a lot of room for improvement.

I have identified 2 points of failure that are impeding me from having a fantastic day.

  • Waking up late. :alarm_clock: Which of course is a consequence of going to bed late. Getting up late in the morning puts me out of sync with everything going on around me.
  • Not planning my day beforehand. :clipboard: A lot of time is wasted doing absolutely nothing and I’m unaware of it until the day ends. Having a roadmap would definitely help with that problem. So I’m gonna make a routine to stick to.

Relateable to me, I usually have developed this habit of sleeping late which makes it hard to wake up early. I am planning from tonight to sleep before 12, so I can wake up before 8 not after that.

Today was especially tough. Urges were a lot stronger. I was taking longer to snap out of those fantasies. Plus I started watching ‘Banshee’ on Hotstar which was full of insane triggers. God knows how I handled that.

I don’t even wanna talk about how much I studied today.
