Finished day 4 today. Tomorrow I am going back to my city, leaving my parent’s place. Looking forward to seeing my friends again and starting into a new year having this amazing community as a weapon against pornography. Cheers guys! Have a great start into a healthy, successfull 2020!

6 days hard mode now. I still regret that slip 6 days ago, when I had 31 days. These are my resolutions for January:

  • no alcohol (or other drugs)
  • no PMO
  • going to the gym more often

What are your resolutions for 2020?

Climbing back up again brother! Think of the lessons you can learn from the relapse. If you make sure you don’t make the same mistakes again, it can be turned into a good thing.

My goals for 2020:

  1. PMO free year
  2. Go travelling
  3. Read more
  4. Work on programming
  5. Advance in business projects
  6. Prepare for returning to education
  7. Multiple income streams
  8. Run regularly, eat healthy meals and drink more water
  9. Spend more time with family and friends

Yeah don’t let it slip off this time. Keep climbing.
My resolution is to do daily extended meditation and exercises(strength training). This year I am putting my fitness into priority. Good luck in your journey :+1:

  • Learn new life skills (cooking, construction, budgeting, etc.)
  • Stay ahead this semester on my school work
  • Accomplish projects in my hobbies
  • Get on a good schedule (sleep-wise, fitness-wise, food-wise)

Maybe I will add some of your goals to my list. Very inspiring!

I am having a few days off at the moment and I am trying to sleep, read and relax a lot - trying to recover from a very busy, exhausting 2019. I have been travelling almost the whole year (and almost the whole world haha) for business reasons. Also I am charging my batteries for new challenges in 2020: I am going to transfer to a new position (or completely find a new job), have to find a new apartment (whereever) and signed for some DJ gigs. Furthermore I am working on a company project that I must finish until February.

But back to my days off: Today I had an awesome breakfast in a restaurant that I tried for the first time. Amazing experience. And: I finally started to read the book “Your Brain On ■■■■”. Very enlightening so far!

And: I told you about my broken laptop earlier (happened before I relapsed). Today I got the information that it is already repaired and I will get it back tomorrow or latest the day after tomorrow.

Guys, I want to share a story with you which came into my mind yesterday night.

In my hometown a catholic priest killed himself at the age of about 50 a couple of years ago. He left a letter where he explained that he was addicted to pornography, full of shame and depression, had nobody to talk about it and did not find a way out of his addiction. He blamed porn addiction for his suicide.
Since we are all here on this app, in this forum, we know how bad and how hard to fight pornography is. But let’s do it! Stay away from this drug! Support each other! And if you are still not able to stay away from it: get professional psychological help in person. This is not a bad thing. Stay strong, people!

That’s a sad story. There’s always hope; we can get out of this prison. And well said, there is no shame in going for professional help. Let’s all support each other and succeed!

Just finished day 10 of my new PMO-free streak. Feels like this new attempt has started with a flatline right away. Did not have an erection in 10 days. What experiences do you guys have with flatlines and low libido?

It is 11 days now. Somehow it feels more difficult this time. On the other hand PMO never has been a realistic option the last 11 days. Stay strong!

Can’t say I paid much attention to libido. I had two flatlines, both only lasted a couple days.

Thank you for your answer - and the motivation! Since I am back at work, there is not much time anymore to even think about PMO.

How do you define a flatline?

Just finished 12 days PMO-free now - climbing back up again.

I’d say that a flatline is a period of low energy, mood and motivation, which usually comes with a lack of sexual drive. It seems to be triggered by the brain’s rewiring process, and we don’t appear to have much control in changing that mood or seeing libido return, we just have to pass through it.
