DAY - 12

I don’t know if I am rebooting or not, most of the part of me says no, because I am just not touching that thing and that’s it. I do not exercise, even though I recovered from my fever 3 days back probably. I overthink and study for just a few hours, always hungry to eat something, and then sleep at night and in the afternoon. There is something wrong with me. What is the use of me doing nofap when I just overthink situations and make them sexual (Guys That really really sucks), I am not struggling with overthinking for some studies and stuff, I am suffering from sexualizing normal things, normal people, it makes me feel gross. Is it really rebooting or I am getting worse? Confused state. I keep telling myself it’s all in my mind, but in the first place why, like why are these sexual thoughts coming up in my mind? Is my mind so much wired to that extent normal things aren’t normal for me?

Bro, it’s just 12 days. Abhi toh you have to go through withdrawal symptoms. Only after you’ve gone through that will you enjoy the fruits of your labour. And that is not to say that you’ll suddenly become super productive. But you’ll definitely notice some positive changes and gradually you will become the person you aspire to be. Now stop bitching and keep grinding.

I’m currently reading ‘Your Brain on Pron’ by Gary Wilson. Its full of testimonies from people whose lives turned around for good after quitting PMO. They overcame all sorts of problems from social anxiety to Pron induced sexual dysfunctions. There was a pattern though, the longer they had indulged in PMO and the earlier they had started, the longer their road to recovery was.

Imagine rebooting as a child. You were born on day 1 and slowly but surely becoming a man. You never grow up over night and it takes time. But once you reach a big number you notice the changes and notice the differences. Just like Nofap, it takes time and you won’t notice the changes at specific dates. It depends from one person to another.
You left this world behind after years of addiction surely you don’t think that all it takes is a decision to forget about sexual fantasies. They will be there and might get stronger but with patience and willpower it will be reduced to it’s normal state.
You can’t be always motivated, nobody is.
But in time, that will all change. If you ever think about giving up cause it takes time remember that time will pass anyway.

Yeah, I just think about that it will pass too but from somewhere I get the feeling that these thoughts will stick with me too for a long time.
Overthinking + Sexulazing normal things and people is super gross, makes your soul feel impure and the worst part is when you start thinking about some things like that you can’t get it our of your head, it’s just stays in your mind’s history and bothers you.

As simple the solution seems bro . Meditation is the key.
Do it daily in morning before anything for 30+ min. It’s will stabilize your mind for whole day.

Even I sexualize about normal things bro.
But I guess it’s all part of PMO. How our body acts is unknown right. We know the mood and feelings but our body behavior reason is unknown right? :slightly_smiling_face:

If feeling dirty and overthinking makes you depressed and causes you to fantasies then take a shower after exercising everyday and don’t forget to meditate as well. Exercising will relief your body, showers will make you feel cleaner, and meditation will purify your mind and soul.

Our brain is hyper plastic, we have spent so much time on PMO and now it has become a normal thing for us to sexualize almost everyone. It will take months to get back to normal, It ain’t gonna happen in few days.
One hack which may help you to stop starring is When you look at someone beautiful in public, Instead of sexualizing her Look on the face of other men around you and see how they are seeing her. Either you will realise you are better than them or you will feel instant guilt that you were the only one starring at her.
For studying, Start increasing your study hours slowly, Don’t think that you gonna completely kill it today. Just give your best and try to do better than yesterday. I am also sitting at 3 hours only now, but I need to increase this to 10-12 hours. I know it will take time, probably couple of weeks. So stop stressing about that.

DAY 13

Overthinking, I literally told my brain not to overthink it helped me somehow and this day went average but there were some bits of overthinking. I get distracted so easily in my studies by these obnoxious thoughts, I can’t even focus a full 30 minutes :skull:. Tomorrow after waking I thinking of doing some affirmation because maybe it can help me reduce my overthinking.
One more thing that today I thought of peeking multiple time into a ■■■■ website but I didn’t do it. Yeah :confetti_ball: I was successful not to peek because I know if I peek then I will relapse again.

I’m pretty sure you’ll relapse before day 16 :smiling_imp:

Yep, I’m planning to do a whole topic on neuroplasticity. In layman terms, neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to adapt and learn. Neuroplasticity is at its peak when we are young and it decreases as we grow old. So all you <20 year olds gotta quit PMO now and work on some good habits. Adolescent brains are a lot more malleable and the skills/habits you develop now are gonna stay with you for the rest of your lives. Not to say that you don’t have hope if you’re old and have PMO’d since your adolescent years. It’ll just be more difficult for you.

I watched a documentary on Neuroplasticity when I was a teen. And I decided to do my own little experiment. So I practiced juggling a football everyday for years hoping to make new neural connections dedicated to that skill. I got good at it. Cut to few years down the line, 3rd year of college was the last time I played football. Completed college, internship went by, 2 years of job, all this time I didn’t touch a football. Came home, found my old football. Went out to try juggling it. I was sure i was gonna fail cuz i was so out of touch. To my surprise, I could do it effortlessly the first time around. Being able to do it after so many years with virtually no practice was quite unbelievable. Those neural circuits that you build during your young years really do last. So don’t train your brain to get off on endless novelty through Pron or you’re gonna have some serious trouble with a real life partner.

Not everyone can be effected the same way :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep I have read about Neuroplasticity, there are lots of podcasts available on Andrew Huberman’s channel if anyone wants to learn more about it. I watched one of his Dopamine video and got lots of stuff which relates to our normal day to day life.
And yes during our childhood, our brain is most plastic. However, I think if someone puts real efforts into an activity, He can still build very strong neural connections irrespective of his age, It just requires more efforts.

DAY 14

Guys, I want to relapse

Is it worth it ??? (Sarcasm intended )

Obviously Not but that rush in my body is just uncontrollable.

Would you like it after you finish?
Will all you so called “problems” be solved?
Will you feel satisfied like you never did before after each relapse?

Ask your self these questions they will help
And after you figure things out, do affirmation and go do something good!

All the answers are clearly no, in this moment I am not into my senses.

Then all you have to do is to walk through that open door.
