Agantuk's New Beginning [20 M]

I decided to make a new diary as before this I was in a totally different situation of limiting myself, using Blockers. I used them for 2.5 years. All in vain! Now am beginning with just nothing from a new point.
I pledge to journalise daily and complete my goals. If I don’t, I will give myself punishments and if I complete, Rewards will wait for me.
I want to see a better me at the end.

Same here !! Blockers are just useless for me bcz I always find a way to adult content.
Anyway, I m also starting my new journey maybe from tomorrow onwards.

Could you please suggest me some good materials to study for UPSC. UPSC has always been my long term goal

Bro @anon87955785 there is no single good materials for UPSC and that’s where the problem starts. Everything is good. Though as a beginner you can start with Modern India by Bipan Chandra which goes by the name India’s Struggle for Independence.
I am currently studying that.
You can get a detailed and perspectival view of Modern India from it.

Ahh!!! I was this :pinching_hand: close to make 6 days and without a peek. But then the devil inside me got up. I was not following my routine and that’s it. It became the reason for my relapse.

I need to be more careful and discard my phone during afternoon.

Again after 19 days. I have begin again. In between a lot of relapses and experimentation that went on with failures and bit of success. I got to understand about my self control and weaknesses out there. Will definitely rectify. Beginning again.

Day 1

After a long time, I guess. I was really hesitating to start my journalising. But I should adopt it as a part of my routine. It not only gives me a clarity of thoughts and place to jot them but also an accountability to my own actions. So, today I completed Day 1.
It was tiresome for my eyes and physical well being. The whole day I remained glued to my phone (watching a series named Chernobyl). The lunatic thing is that even after doing nothing, I feel tired.

Anyways…made up a routine. I will try my best to follow.

  1. Study (minimum 4 hours)
  2. Wake up before 7
  3. Healthy Concoction or Plain Warm Water
  4. Sirsasana
  5. Exercise (Jogging is not be included)
  6. Visualization
  7. Breakfast
  8. Conversation
  9. Study Slot 1
  10. Lunch
  11. Book Read
  12. Nap
  13. Stretching and Excercise
  14. Health Drinks

That’s a great routine, hope you stick to it, and yes journaling it a great way to get clarity and pin pointing the problems and rectifying them. Best of luck for the rest of the journey. Be Proud of yourself and Love yourself.

Day 2

The only productive thing today was staying without a relapse :sweat_smile:. I messed up the very first day after making up my routine.

[7-9am] I woke up early but didn’t exercise. I haven’t followed my routine for long and waking up early is also very difficult for me. So I escaped.

[9-12 am] I was really busy in completing the series Chernobyl and forgot about my study routine. When I realised the passing of time, I procrastinated again.

[12-2 pm] Finally, I decided to study after having my lunch. With a huge gush of oxygen into my chest, I opened my book. But tadaaa…another problem. The transformer which connects our home has faced some issues. If technicians would visit it will be fixed till evening. If not, the whole night we have to stay without electricity. We do have an Inverter but that is quite old and won’t be able to support us the whole night. We started switching off all the appliances and just kept a fan or light on simulataneoulsy.

[2-7 pm] I switched my phone off. Then I spent the whole time with my parents. Discussed a lot of things. I really felt better after that. We dont have much conversations like this.

[7-9 pm] We got back the electricity at 7:45. Again when I went back to open my book…tadaa…my cousins paid a visit :lying_face:. I really wasn’t in the mood to entertain their dumb talks. But had to do a lot of fake laugh (family…rishte).

Now am thinking on what series to start next. And how to make my routine more on the practical part rather than just being theoritical.

URGES: Specifically talking of them. I had them. And I noted a thing. My urges towatch porn were less overall but I felt a tinge inside my nerves whenever I was less busy or purposeless. There was this weird urge to find something…get something. Something which isn’t porn but can make me remember it. Confusing :face_with_monocle:

Ahh!! I relapsed again. The was a power cut in early hours. Some 3 in the morning. I got a disturbed sleep and again had to stay without current for nearly the whole day.
It was all perfect till afternoon. I even tried to pause my relapses after one round. But again it went to nearabout 10. I hate myself man :pensive::pensive:I just hate myself.
Beginning again. I will make sure to make up a routine fast.
