Hi bro , Hope u are fine. I just want your advice. I have worked out day before yesterday after being workout free for a month. After doing bicep curls Idk why I have been experiencing muscle cramps for past 3 days ( including today ). Is it normal ? My parents are using this situation to their advantage to stop working out. How long it will take to recover from it ?
Yes it’s pretty normal when you workout after a long time.
But there’s no need to worry or stop, just take one rest day and get back to working out, cramps will go away soon.
Also don’t forget to stretch before and after working out.

It was raining all day yesterday (which I forgot to mention) and it has gotten pretty cold, I still took cold shower yesterday and today too, the water was literally ice cold, my body went numb during the shower but feeling after the shower was absolutely amazing, even
normal cold air felt hot after it .
I also went to a local bank with grandma in the morning as she had some work there. There was a line there but my grandma is old and well respected in the village so bank people let us cut to the front.
And I finally got all green ticks today . A good day.

Today I was kind of sleepy throughout the day, even after 9 hours sleep, even after a short nap and even while playing , maybe because I had to wake up twice to pee last night as I had a lot of water yesterday, might be also because I had been sleeping around 4am past whole week
, I’ll get used to my normal routine in a few days.
Apart from this I went to play in the evening as my new basketball shoes arrived today. These days I am feeling like I am not playing at full capacity I have a little pain in shoulder and back as well. Also I have not been practicing just playing so my dribbling and shooting skills have become a little weak .
Overall a suboptimal day.

Today we played a 100 point game. I practiced in the courtyard in the afternoon, did my dribbling drill and I realised what I was missing was that I wasn’t going for enough moves fakes while dribbling I was just playing simply, just normal dribble, pass, simple shot but actually good dribble, behind the backs, step backs are all my forte. My game was significantly better today, I sunk in some step back threes and winning shot was me going behind the back and step back 2 from just inside the 3 point line .
After playing my father nagged me a bit about playing everyday which I don’t btw so I acted a little furiously which is unlike me, I meditated for 5 minutes after it and journalled, it calmed my mind, then we sorted things out while having dinner so all good.

Today morning I weighed at 84.5 kgs, it felt good as it had been almost a year since I was below 85 kgs, last year this time I was about 83-84 kgs, I gained upto 90 kgs, then lost upto 85 kgs in 1 month or so, then gained upto 89 kgs now again lost upto 84.5 kgs , my weight is on a roller coaster ride between 85 and 90 kgs, now Diwali time is here, sweets are gonna pour in I might again gain 4-5 kgs
, hoping not to but it’s inevitable.
About today it was kind of boring , did nothing, spent time looking here and there and rest studying
And I forgot to mention that when I returned after playing past two days I took hot showers in the evening, they improved my shoulders and back, my workouts were more effective. (P.s I am still taking cold showers in the morning)

Now winter is here so had to go for them, it’s quite cold in the evening now a days

Well cold shower does the same for me.
I take cold shower just after working out, cold showers are also known to relax muscles. It is very much advisable to go for cold showers in the morning, they help in setting you into warrior mindset for the day
