Your take on celibacy?

What is your take on hard mode guys does it give an extra edge in the benifits from nofap should people try it for atleast a temporary period of time ?

As name suggests it is much hard and very potent also. By hard mode I mean pure brahmcharya. Following hardmode gives you extra time , and lot of energy and lot of urges to fight.
I am following this nowdays for my exams. I am not very much progressed in this but I can tell you this is very powerful.

If you don’t know what brahmcharya is you can ask me.

I’m not a big fan of the celibate lifestyle. But if anyone is doing it for religious reasons then by all means do it. But I don’t recommend being celebate all your life. You will miss out on a lot of stuff. Doing it for a temporary period of time might be beneficial for improving ones discipline. It takes lot of willpower to do it so it would make them mentally strong too. But yea, don’t do it long term

Sure bro. Brahmcharya is a term which doesn’t only consist celibacy. Actually it is set of thinge. Like

  1. Don’t think about girls
  2. Don’t remember their talks with you.
  3. Stay away from girls as much as possible. Even if you don’t consider her attractive.
  4. And finally celibacy/nofap. that is avoid indulging in sexual thoughts also
These are 4 types of maithuns told by brahmcharis. These may seem absurd to some people that how can staying away and not talking to girls help you. Well for strict brahmcharis this is a rule.
For example:- we didn’t know about porn until we got phone. If we never got smartphone or laptops we would never be addicted.so that’s why brahmcharis do this. This saves their enormous amount of energy . That they can use elsewhere.
This is my take. You can tell your view on this

Yes . I also think so. It takes lot of effort . That’s why I am doing this until exams. After that normal nofap lifestyle

I actually love these points. I somewhat know about Brahmacharya as well.
I am following some of them now and I feel its beneficial.
I am strictly following 4th point that is no sexual thoughts and its really helped me come this far. Never in my 10 years of indulgence have I crossed 100 days and as soon as I started following 4th point, I could do it.

I feel Brahmacharya pulls out the problem from the root. Its like if you could control your mind, then external factors won’t affect you.

I mostly follow points 1&2 as well.
But I do talk with girls whenever I get a chance, to brush up my commuincation skills. That’s it. No unwanted flirting.
I personally believe, till Age 25 its time for personal growth and development, so following Brahmacharya gives you time and space to grow, which maybe less when you are in a relationship coz you need to provide time and resources to your partner.

This is my personal opinion.

I do celibacy and I am very happy about it. I want to abstain from sex until end of my life. I just wish I have the strength to keep my celebacy for many years to come. I am already keep it for 170 days and the transformation is absolutely amazing.
For me, spiritual development is the most important thing. Though I have success in the material world, my spiritual goal is much more important. When you fully control your sexual desire through celebacy, you can reach the state of happiness that only true holy men experience.
May all of us have the strength to control our sexual desire!

Definitely it must be hard and also has benifits normal nofap can give you urges very hard to tackle I know that so it must be even more difficult to go hard mode it seems lil difficult to go hardmode but when things are tough it must produce more good results guys who are doing celebate are fighters :ok_hand: even I am thinking to go atleast for a short time go hard mode so need lil ideas to go ahead

Do you think is it possible to do strict brahmcharya by staying in our current society? These are probably for sanyasis and monks but if someone can follow this in daily-life really it would be impressive.
I my opinion , The hard mode for us should be :-

  1. No PMO
  2. No fantasizing or peeking
  3. No staring at random girls
  4. Don’t objectify girls

If you feel like something is missing, please add

I don’t know about brachmacharya , but celibacy is possible. I live in the society. But it is indeed very difficult.

Ya I know. It is difficult actually. What’s worse then being addicted?? Even nofap is difficult in today’s era.

And I am giving it a try because mostly I stay at home now a days.

And that is alternate version of saying point 1 and 2.
You can watch that video I posted above . That is detailed explanation.

Celibacy is freedom. That’s the best way to put it. When you’re not controlled by these desires you can always cut back and be content within.
It sure has a deeper meaning I’m yet to explore, but this is my take and I don’t think it’s that bad either. Not everyone can enjoy pain. One has to build himself like that. In this world full of instantaneous sensual gratification, celibacy can be great way to not get affected by it. It is definitely freedom.
