Wiki for Avoiding Relapse

Hi everyone!

I plan to start this post to contain important information which may prevent someone from relapsing. The objective is that if someone is facing urges, he/she may refer to this post and get motivated and try his/her best not to relapse. I request everyone to feel free to add anything important which can prove to be very helpful for someone. I hope this post becomes a motivation for us and provides us with compelling reasons as to why we should leave porn as soon as possible.

I start this by listing some of the facts related to porn so that we can understand how bad it actually is. (Source: Most of these things have been taken from EasyPeasy book.)

→ The beautiful truth is that all porn does absolutely nothing for you whatsoever. Let me make it quite clear, it’s not that the disadvantages of being a user outweigh the advantages, it’s that there are zero advantages to looking at pornography. Most users find it necessary to rationalize why they use porn, but the reasons they come up with are all fallacies and illusions.

→ The porn trap is similar to wearing tight shoes just to obtain the pleasure of taking them off. Non-users don’t suffer empty feelings of needing internet porn, or panic when they’re offline. Non-users can’t understand how users possibly obtain pleasure from two dimensional videos with muted sounds and abnormal body proportions. Eventually, users can’t understand either.

→ Continuing the previous point, porn is a bit similar to heroin addict. Heroin addicts deprived of heroin go through misery, but picture the utter joy when they’re finally allowed to plunge a needle into their vein and end that terrible craving. Try to imagine how anyone could actually believe they get pleasure from sticking a hypodermic syringe into a vein. Non-heroin addicts don’t suffer that panic feeling and heroin doesn’t relieve the feeling, it causes it.

→ Porn isn’t habit, it’s drug addiction! When we start to use porn, we have to force ourselves to cope with it. Before we know it, we’re escalating into increasingly bizarre and shocking porn. The thrill is in the hunting, not the killing, with dopamine rapidly leaving the body after orgasm, explaining why users want to ’edge’ (delaying orgasm) through flicking between multiple browser windows and tabs.

→ Get it firmly in your mind that there’s no such thing as ’just one peek’. It’s a chain reaction that will last the rest of your life unless broken. The myth about the odd, special occasion keeps users moping after stopping.

These are some points I have learned in my journey from experience and from other amazing companions.

POINT 1. Just avoid visual and auditory i.e. ALL TRIGGER. Stay the hell away from screen, social media and movies (also series and animes). Don’t check out girls or opposite gender.

POINT 2. Stay busy to defeat physical urges. Don’t fight the urges, it will get powerful if we concentrate on it. Staying busy is the ultimate weapon to defeat horniness. Staying busy for a lifelong goal and dream is better. Follow a routine. Don’t divert from it.

POINT 3. Never fantasize. If a sexual though comes, just focus on something else. It just takes 5 seconds to redirect to a new thought. Entertaining a thought will increase its power and make you more horny and create powerful urges. So focus on something else.

POINT 4. Don’t touch your privates ever. Don’t put your hands in the pants. NO Touching!!!

POINT 5. Remember your horrible feelings after EVERY. SINGLE. RELAPSE!!!. No porn will satisfy you. No masturbation will make you happy. PMO will not decrease your stress. It will not relax you. You don’t need PMO to feel good. You don’t want PMO anymore. YOU ARE NOT ATTRACTED BY PMO ANYMORE. YOU VIEW PMO AS DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE AND VOMIT PRODUCING. YOUR PAST IS PAST. NOW YOU ARE A NEW AND BETTER PERSON. AND YOU WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT CRAP!!!.

After breaking from the conscious mental attraction of PMO, now just take a cold shower or put cold water on your privates (if you know for sure you won’t touch yourself). Then stay busy in your task. Or take a walk, socialize, eat or drink something and exercise.

Practice these 5 points. Make it a habit and you will NEVER relapse!!!

What’s stopping you KING?

You have relapsed before to a movie, TV series or anime.

Why are you seeing that again?

You have relapsed to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat , YouTube, Reddit (Social media) before.

Why the hell are you using social media again?

You have relapsed before to boredom and free time.

What is stopping you to occupy your time with positive, healthy, and fun habits like exercise and gym, meditation, book reading and socializing with positive trigger free people etc?

Why do you take the same road again and again if you don’t want to go to the same destination?
Why do you keep putting your hand in snake’s den expecting to get pleasure when still you have got yourself bitten every single time for the past countless times?. Have you forgotten the pain, depression, and disappointment of your last relapse?


Are you not fed up enough with this worthless, energy and happiness draining PMO addiction? Are you not willing to sacrifice your fun but triggering activities like entertainment from screen?. Can’t you get entertainment from real life like people before technology did?. Are you no willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to quit PMO?
Its not even a sacrifice as you don’t get any benefit from PMO but get tons of benefits by abstaining from it. You don’t need to sacrifice anything to not put your hand in snake’s den. Instead you gain.
