What's Your Actual Reason of NoFapping?

Well I am sorry for late reply.

Basically brain fog is where your brain struggles to function in the memory or choice department and also tend to think slower. It ain’t a disease and also ain’t severe like a disability, but it can be cleared up.

I have read up on brain fog. It has many diffrent causes. It is not just a lack of sleep that could cause it.

The other causes =

-poor diet

  • poor gut health
    -improper function of thyroid glands
  • maybe nofap can be a problem too.

Basically it is all about lifestyle choices.
Nofap is good in itself, but the body endure a lot of stress. Also at this point in time we tend to over occupy ourselves. This stress ain’t good too.

Some are good stresses to motivate you in exercise and to do whatever. But not resting is bad for you. Like exercising everyday. It is good and gives an overall good health. But when your muscles are sore they need rest to heal otherwise you risk injury .

Same with the brain also giving it a 100 tasks to do a day where you probably only did 50 a day is also overworking and stress your brain too. Also since you are nofaping the other thing is major hormonal imbalances are happening as dopemine levels and some other feel good hormones don’t get released that often. Also Testosterone levels have been shown to increase during a nofap streak. This means the body has to normalize these levels.

Well, don’t have to say much in poor diet and this also points to an unhealthy and inactive lifestyle too. I don’t say eat only salads and freaking go ballistic with exercise. But make sure you have a healthy balanced diet and consume more water. Also even do 30 push-ups and sit-ups and squats is good. Or a brief 30 min walk or bicycle ride.

Not that strenuous, but it is your workout routine as long as you are active (not just focus on the job and think you’re getting exercise from all the work). In your diet make sure you consume your vitamins and nutrients you need and lessen your sugar consumption.

Don’t cut something out like fats or carbs just lessen them too. And obviously listen to your body don’t starve it or overeat in meals. Control is key.

Eat 3 big meals a day. Breakfast, lunch ,dinner or eat them but smaller and snack inbetween, but with a bit less carbs and sugars in each small snack. You could snack on nuts and fruits or even some raw vegetables like carrots. Up to 12 small meals in the day.

This is entirely up to you. And in gut health eating enough fibre and drinking more water maybe a glass or 2. Not 7 as per traditional means or requirements the body will ask water too when thristy. But do take notice of your stool and urine.

Hard stools mean you could be a bit dehydrated. Also if your urine as a yellowish colour. Dark yellow is sometimes a sign of dehydration, but not accurate as multivitamins can make your urine darker since the body flushes out extra vitamins it doesn’t need.

If no multivitamins are used, then if you urine is yellow. You’re gonna need more water.

The other way to determine need for water is in your sweat. If you workout but don’t sweat much then you are going to need to hydrate yourself.

With gut health also notice any cramps, feeling nausea or bad stools or struggle with appetite.

With the hormonal imbalances and not proper function of the thyroid gland. Sadly your gonna need blood work to be done to know this one for sure.

But the Testosterone levels will lower don’t stress about that and you can increase your happy hormones. By eating a small chocolate now and again. Have a rest day. Do fun stuff don’t stop all the things you like. Do them more frequently. Just avoid porn obviously. As listening to your favourite songs for example greatly effects your mood and boost the hormones and is a great substitute for porn.

There are teachings in inner engineering program of sadhguru that we should not eat non veg and eat only vegetarian foods.

They encourage to eat raw vegetables along with the cooked food that we eat.

It actually helps in your nofap journey
