What do you do after quiting social media?

The thing is I deleted Instagram, Telegram and others from mobile. Even in YouTube, I unsubscribed all the low value channels and now I don’t know what to do.
I don’t even want to use YouTube except studies.

What do you guys do?
Do you go out or something else?

Read books outside of your field of study. Take a walk, workout.

If I wasn’t a last year engineering student , I would have put my efforts in YouTube channel because I like to discuss perspectives, give my opinions and all.

Oh yeah started with Psycho Cybernetics, will try to prioritise one hour everyday, making notes of important lessons.

I do take walks actually. I think I will incorporate workouts too. It’s time to make a list of things as leisure and self improvement activities.

I have similar plans from September onwards.

Sure, let’s get the audience first.

Does not have any great impact on life in itself I would say.

These are some good suggestions. Working on the same

it does. If you want to develop critical thinking and see patterns, both are excellent tools. Chess will also help you in multi tasking, and keeping calm in bad situations if you use it that way.

it will make your thought process faster and allow you to reach conclusions faster as well. Because these are the things that force you to think of possibilities, and just think through in general. You will develop a habit of analyzing things instead of taking the easy route out. Unlike mindlessly consuming media where you don’t have to think at all. Will also teach you patience.

I already have a habit of taking the road not taken. I wish after 3-4 years I am on a smooth road or sail like everyone without chaos and uncertainties. The self sabotage while seeking discomfort and challenge can fuck you up. But for now I’m all for it.

Thanks for the advice, chess is time consuming and addictive so won’t go with that. Might try Sudoku.

I’m not talking about self sabotage. But if you want to develop something in you, you definitely have to put yourself in discomfort. In exercise you put body (and to some extent the mind too) in discomfort. Both of these things to mind are just like exercise to body.
Also I’m not asking you to be the grandmaster. Chess definitely takes time, no question about that. It’s a slow process, but when you develop the thought process it is quite rewarding too. Anyway your choice to take it up or not.

This will help you in developing your short term memory.
Again, neither of these things are a perfect solution to everything. They are just one of the many tools you may want to use.

If you’re trying for sudoku though, I’ll wait for you to get to this.
9 by 9 grids are good to solve, but have you ever tried 16 by 16?

All the best

I already played chess actually, quite alot. @Nerbo was the one who introduced me to it. I still have chess. As you are suggesting I will give it some time on Sundays :slightly_smiling_face:

Alright, I will try it tomorrow, 16*16 Grid sounds fun.

Indeed. I try to incorporate these things with daily activities. For example my alarm turns off only when I recognise three consecutive patterns. While brushing or combing I try to use left hand. I wish to incorporate similar things in other activities.

It’s just a by product of the content being made which Targets a specific audience and gets them hooked up for more. The target audience should be a large group of people.

Marketing strategy is needed tho.

That is an interesting question. Basically I have used insta in my life not more than 8 months. But in that time period, I spent a lot of time in it. After deleting it, I first made up my mind like “It’s not worth your time.” Then started reading books, started to watch some movies of different genres and when I say to my friends that I don’t use insta, I say it with some pride so that it won’t let me go back. Be proud man, you are among 5%.

Hmm. I hope you have learnt enough of it. Let us play a game someday. Although I have got much more stronger now. I am beating 1700s now so it is kind of too much for even a 1200 to beat me.

I was getting my ■■■ kicked a lot of times, but now I’ve improved significantly. Not sure what my rating would be since I played as a guest all these times.
