What are your go-to activities to deal with urges?

So, just like the title says. I’d like to discuss with you guys, what are the things or activities that you partake in when you start feeling “hot” or you suddenly get the urge to watch pornography?

Personally when I unfortunately stumble upon something that triggers my addiction which is usually on social media or sometimes even just thinking about stuff in general I usually always try take a cold shower or work on some of my short stories, If that doesn’t work I draw a quick sketch or I decide to work out of a while.

These are the things that help me. I’m interested in knowing your thoughts and tips on what else we can do to avoid giving in to the urges.

I try to forget those urges by playing games.

If not I listen to music, if it doesn’t work I sometimes do excercises.

If it doesn’t work I relaxe and take deep breaths.

If nothing then I just stand up and I listen to the urge of this app meditation to help me.

If nothing works I try to forget that urges or I just do work.

I’ve been so busy I haven’t felt any urges for 3 days.

Playing games definitely helps out! As well as going out with friends and stuff. I also agree that keeping busy in general really does help.
Your mind is focused on something else and doesn’t give you the time to even think inappropriate thoughts.
