I would like participate on this challenge but I know I am not prepared yet. My moods these days aren’t ready for sudden withdrawal like this. Maybe in the future though

Thanks for inviting me @The_Rising_One but sorry to say that I will not not be able to participate in this challenge because I do not use phone for unproductive works, I only use YouTube for studies and use forum to just do check-ins and do nothing else.

Important Update

There have been some updates made for this challenge. So everyone who joined @The_Rising_One @debellator @Imaginator @rajameghanan @Kanzo here’s what you must know:

  1. Check-In Requirements:

    • Regular check-ins are essential. You can choose to update daily or weekly, but all updates must be completed by the end of each month.
    • Each check-in should include the date and total non-work screen time for the day.
    • Productive activities, such as studying or work, do not count toward non-work screen time.
  2. Self-Update Scoreboard:

    • Participants must update their screen time on the scoreboard themselves. Mobile users have a button below the table, while PC users can click the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the table.
    • Edit only your own screen time, and avoid unauthorized changes. Accidental edits are allowed but require proof.
  3. Challenge Duration and Winning Criteria:

    • The challenge runs monthly. The participant with the least screen time at the end of the month wins and will be featured in the Hall of Fame.
  4. Helpful Apps & Tips:

    • Recommended apps like Digital Wellbeing, Forest, and Stay Focused are available to help track and reduce screen time.
    • Tips include tracking usage, setting limits, taking breaks, improving posture, and establishing screen-free zones or times, such as mealtime and bedtime.

Yesterday 13 hours. ( Due to work and an app which is a chatroom where we talk and sing together. These both apps time usage was 7 hours )

I’m joining this challenge…
I’m losing concentration on work.

I am watching Goku on TV with my little brother. Does it count as screen time?

This challenge is mainly about phone addiction. Watching Dragon ball on TV is harmless in this scenario.

I am interested in joining this challenge. I will most likely do weekly updates via screenshots of usage statistics from a blocker app that I use.

28 October,

Wanna clarify one thing. I use YouTube to learn informative stuff in shorts. 90% of them are informative. With that I have a 3½ hrs time spent on phone. Without that 2 hrs 45 mins. I will update scorecard as per the clarification.

Yo bro, yes I want to join as well. Thanks for the invite.

You omit whatever you find as productive. Even if you are using YT but for productive activities , you can neglect that time duration

Thank you for tagging me. First and foremost, I don’t have a personal phone, so I don’t have any screen time (specifically for a phone) and iam already quite distant from phone addiction. I apologize for not joining right away, as I use a laptop exclusively for study purposes throughout the day. Could you please let me know if I should join? Thank you very much.

So are we tallying our screentime from 28th October onwards?

Yes till November 1st. It’s just a warm up though. And it’s not considered in the official scoreboard.

The way I see it, you don’t have a screen addiction. You can join if you feel like wasting lots of time on your laptop. But if you’re always using it well like you said, there’s no need to join :+1:
