I may have discovered the secret to recovery :point_down::sparkles:

Today i faced the worst of urges. The strongest kind I ever faced. But somehow, fighting that was not that difficult. I was so surprised. I think I may have found a way to recover.

When I was thinking about relapsing, I had a moment of clarity. A single thought occupied my mind. “No good will ever come out of PMO”. I really felt emotional. I realized all the problems in my life are created by my past self who chose to PMO. Now I won’t do the same. My life is too important to destroy by PMO.

The secret to recovery is two fold.

1. Have a genuine strong emotional reason to quit PMO.
2. Plan your day and act to build that dream life. Don’t surrender control. Don’t be free.

( It might seem ordinary advice but its not. This might be what you need to break free from PMO)

Fighting urges wasn’t hard then. All I did next was plan my day and didnt keep myself free. (Action is important) It’s the end of the day as Im writing this totally satisfied by my choice. Another beautiful day without PMO.

I want to join bro.

Current strike: about to be 0 so I can start again 0.

Target strike: day 2 if I can’t anymore. If I can still go more then day 5 and so on.

Reason: A bad habit that I will forget taking so many energy drinks affected my mind. One last relapse before I start again.

Anti-reason: Focus on the training and stop the relapse.

Strategy: Stop taking a lot of caffeine, take 1 energy drink a month, relax my mind, play games or listen to music.

Thanks @NeverGiveup420

So my current streak is 0 days 19 hrs.
Highest streak is 10 days.

Reason:
I relapse cause I feel demotivated in life and not much happy the way I am coping with things around. As I am alone, so many times my loneliness and demotivation makes me relapse.

Anti-reason:
I am tired of living the same way for so many years and I really want to break the chain and act on the things that are being delayed cause of my addiction.

Strategy: I have made a timetable as in teenage days I thought about school how they use to have various subjects for a time slot of 30 mins, so I am planning to go the same way towards the things I want to learn. Although I am working now and have limited time but I’ll try to make time as much possible.

@TheSeeker Doesn’t matter as long as you stand back up, think and learn from your mistakes and try again.

Post a relapse report.
