Tiredness and noFap

Hey guys.
A lot of you have been speaking about the slump you hit after flat line. So I was just curious if you more experienced people could help.
I’m on day 39 of noFap and today I was feeling pretty tired. I read in a post that there is a slump where your energy and testosterone go really low and you feel tired, lethargic, etc. Is this that stage? I am not facing much urges, just tiredness and a bit of stress. Is this because I haven’t ejaculated for so long?
I’d be glad if people could share their experiences if they had similar ones and how long it may last.

I have no idea dude… I had felt “no motivation” and all… but not tiredness… May be it’s the flatline… you may be are not used to “not fapping”. Idk

First of all congrats :tada: bro on reaching 40d.

I also felt like that. One good news for you after some days you will feel the opposite bro. You won’t feel tired. You will feel more energetic to exercise more.

Be patient bro. I know about you, you won’t take the wrong decision. Good things are in the near future, so take this happily soon this will fade & you will feel energetic.

In my opinion you should do more and more exercise to produce nature dopamines and also this will help in testersterone boost…we feel too lazy and tired in flatline …still Iam facing that sometimes…

Bro @Ash_Matt if you ask me about flatline I haven’t really experienced it. When I do nofap my entire focus on on building positive habits and my goals. Exercising, Meditating a lot, yoga, stretching, doing the things that I love the post- reading writing etc. By doing these things you’ll produce natural dopamine and all the other positive hormones in your brain, as a result you can reduce the power of flatline very much. Divert your entire focus to your goals my brother. You’ll come out a STRONG BEAST. BE PATIENT. MOVE FORWARD. YOU ARE GROWING EVERY SINGLE SECOND AS LONG AS YOU DON’T LOOK BACK. @Ash_Matt bro…you’re doing awesome…you don’t need to worry. As I have experienced during my 35-55days, some period of the day felt like weak, tired,loser and some time well, even I cried couple of times.I tried to do pray, meditation, workout, listening favorite track.Within this phase you won’t get mood to do anything but whatever makes you feel happy do it, keep your mind engaged with positive thoughts. Even I was ready to encounter this phase since I have understood from this forum that it’s a healing process…this process differs from person to person…this period sustain based on the someone’s addiction level on brain. You’re on the right track bro…very soon you would start feeling Great. Stay motivated. :+1:

Dude it’s called flatline. In flatline phase you may came across many things. Differs for all. But the common ones are anxiety, depression, a lot of hunger, at times no hunger at all, lethargy, feeling lifeless at times. All this is part of the recovery process. Your brain and body have been addicted till now due to dopamine release associated with the habit of watching porn and masturbation. Now body and brain start recovering while being on nofap. All this will happen. Nothing much to worry about except keep going on the journey of nofap without any relapse. That is the most important part. Usually the flatline hits in between 30-40 days while you are on nofap. It differs for everybody. Sometimes hits early sometimes late. During this phase you need to eat what you feel like, eat chocolates, watch comedy and sleep as much your body wants to. Do some light exercises if you want to. I have personally found yoga and meditation to be great aids in fighting/overcoming this phase. Flatline may continue for one month or even more. Some guys have reported flatline to be as long as 15 months. But you need not worry about it. It’s different for everybody, some guys have reported to recover from this phase even in 2 months time or even less than that. I hope you may found this helpful. Yeah, it’s a good idea to replace my lost dopamine with natural dopamine…I haven’t thought of that. Now I will implement that in my life.

Some days I feel energetic and other days I feel really tired…it gets annoying sometimes.
But like you said, its part of recovery, hence I need to do it.

I thought I had already passed flatline but this may be a recurring thing. I will try to follow your advice. Unfortunately I have a big exam tomorrow, so I can’t relax, but I will surely get dopamine from the studies :joy:
