The right role model? --> Is the Youth making an informed decision or just falling in the trap set by societal pressures?- (Personal Views)

Yeah it’s like listen to your mother and father for they know what’s best for you,
For what father will give his child a rock if it asks for bread, and so forth. So we must listen to our ancestors, persons of old age, for at least, we must think, they have experienced more than we had.

Bullseye!!!

Everyone should know what is great for him. Listening Mother and Father will be resulting only in fulfilling THEIR expectations of how should be look like YOUR life. It’s unhealthy.

Reading, and experiencing. A lot of different books, a lot of social interactions. Different angels of perspecrive of this reality. Considering and choosing. Not blind following.

You obviously don’t need to invent anything new. Just follow what has been ordained to you: Pray to the creator, Be nice to everyone, help the needy/poor, don’t be corrupt, respect the parents, stand for your right, do justice, keep your gaze down when the opposite gender passes by, be good to your neighbor, don’t do adultery, always be grateful of what you have, etc.
These are a few of the basic principles of how to live a good life. These have been revealed 1400 years ago to mankind. Just following this would be more than enough. All those “making world a better place”, “We are in this together” is translated to “We don’t care about you or your problems, just give us your money”.

You know why earth is suffering so much ? That’s all because of hatred .
People today hate eachother at various basis like religion , race , etc.
I like how you put all those Great souls in same bucket. People of different religion are fighting with others to increase their religion community. Sadly , they are disrespecting theirs .
Like Hindus abuse muslims and muslims abuse hindus . It will be good if they accept eachother.
People calling themselves muslims , hindus don’t know that when it comes to God , this religion doesn’t exist. God is whom we can feel and pray to them.
Coming back to the topic , agreed that we have so many great souls whom we can consider our ideal. But sadly the youth today is busy on showing off on social media ,without any goals in life. Porn and mssturbation is getting normalised which is very bad .
Look we all here are less than 0.1% of the world who are fighting against this poison to improve ourself . And I am sure that most of us will be very successful in our lifes.
Earth neeeds a big change not only physically but mentally too.
And sorry if my english was bad , lmao

Still, respecting others is a key to be humble so it’s really a keystone habits. Being humble let you know that youre always in need to progress, even if you’re day 365 which you might celebrate every year. Respect others like how you respect yourself. So in teaching others, you must respect them, to make the communication and education graceful and elegant; and by doing so, you also learn just by respecting them. You need to respect your enemy. respect might mean: to know your starting point, your enemy, the obstacle, the hindrance; Doing fapping without respecting porn, your culture, your parents or everything that can affect your mindset; you’re basically just hoping for ignorance to come out of you anytime. Therefore respect, respect, respect. Everything must be respected in order to know the interconnectedness of things.:smirk::zap: You don’t need to do anything your parents want you to do when you respect them. That’s not respect. but obedience, right? Obey is to do no matter what; Respect is to know your place, know your place in life, the game of life. Though I might not be sure about this… But I think obedience is related to what kind of person you’re respecting… LIKE if it’s your dad… Even before you know it, you’re obeying him. Like in army. Like in traditions, culture. LIKE when we respect something, we tend to obey that thing when we know they’re good for us… For instance, our ancestors are what we came from, so we tend to think that they must know more than us what’s good for us… Anyways that’s all I can comprehend in my tiny brain:brain:

@xpsl4b i agree about what you said above. Consider that there can be respecting parents and not allowing them manipulate you by blind acceptance of what they say SHOULD be good for you.

Dont take my words personally. I just telling what I’m thinking about it. You can agree with me, you can disagree with me, so i also can do  the point is to take something what someone is saying or take nothing. The choice has everybody

Yeah, and also I think: ‘to obey’ is different from ‘to respect’. though I also thought that obedience has a relation with respecting others

I see you added nex part of your previous answer. I disagree about it. Respect is not obeying anyone. There are two different concepts.

No  but you can have your own explanation for it and it is also healthy. There is no possibility that exerybody will be the same in thinking
