Yesterday I woke up early in order to avoid the worst of the scorching Sun. I got up and break my fast then went out to find him.
I was told by a friendly old lady, where to find the sage.
After a short stretch of desert, I found an oasis with a well and by it a small and simple hut.
He invited me in, and asked me what brought me there. I said I wanted to know how to survive the Graboids. He then told that I was looking at it the wrong way, that I shouldnāt learn how to survive the Graboids, but instead I should unlearn how to fear them so much, cause that fear was stopping me to live and thrive in the desert. He then taught me more about the landscape, the plants that could help and to use the stars for navigation. And he also taught me to listen. Make less noise and feel the sand beneath my feet, so I could sense the Graboidās vibration. When I was about to leave he told me that the most important thing in this desert is to learn from my mistakes, and not to dwell on it, because a mind that suffers with the past mistakes, cannot see the beauty and the dangers of the Present.
After that I went back to where I came from, with a spark of hope to learn the laws of this land and to better adapt to it.
(Yesterday I had therapy session so I wrote an little story to address it hehe)
Today Iām all alone in Perfection Nevada. I have stuff to do but the heat of this desert doesnāt allow me to focus. I used a sacred powder that comes from a small bean, roasted and grounded, to make a black liquid. The folks around here say that it has secret powers and it allows one to sharp their senses. Iām better now but I can feel the ground trembling. I must have made a mistake or itās just a coincidence, but I can feel a Graboid following me wherever I go. In order to thrive here, I must not fear it, but be aware of it, and keep doing my thing.

The weather seems to be the most destructive danger so far.
Iāve often noticed that warm weather also heats up my blood, triggering stronger urges. Do you think the graboids can sense my blood warming up???
Need to be careful if this is the case

Good morning, survivors, and welcome to your weather update for April 4th in the Perfection Nevada Survival Challenge.
The heat today will be unbearable. Temperatures will soar to a blistering high of 110°F with a low of 75°F during the night. This extreme heat is not to be taken lightly, so make sure youāre well-prepared and have plenty of water on hand. Shade and shelter will be more crucial than ever as the desert sun beats down relentlessly.
A light wind at 5-10 mph is expected, which may bring a slight breeze but wonāt provide much relief from the scorching temperatures. The wind will mostly stir up sand and dust, further reducing visibility and creating additional challenges as you navigate the terrain.
With such high temperatures, the risk of dehydration and heat exhaustion increases significantly. Take frequent breaks, seek shelter whenever possible, and keep your body temperature regulated as much as you can.
The ground will be extremely hot and could cause burns to exposed skin or equipment. Be very cautious when moving across bare ground, especially in areas where thereās no shade. The fire risk remains high as well, so avoid actions that might create sparks.
As for the Graboids, their sensitivity to vibrations could still be a concern, especially with reduced visibility due to the dust. Continue to move cautiously and avoid disturbing the ground unnecessarily.
This is a day where safety is your priority. Make sure youāre planning your movements carefully and taking all precautions to protect yourself from the heat.
Stay vigilant, stay hydrated, and stay safe, survivors. The desert is unforgiving.
