I have a doubt since long ago. It is about dopamine and detoxifying it. What it is! What to do to gain that energy? Anyone who knows about it explain it. And I read there is lots of cons while practicing it .
Basically all these modern devices and services like p*** give you the excess amounts of dopamine which is not supposed to be and cannot be achieved in the caveman times.
Dopamine detox is like setting your domapine to healthy levels
I don’t think there are cons , because when your brain adjusts to healthy dopamine levels , you start to enjoy even the most basic things

Okay let me try,
Dopamine and serotonin are chemicals or hormones that are released by the brain, whenever you do something fun, like taking to someone you love, eating your favourite food or anything yo find fun. These fun activities are called stimulus. It simulate that part of brain that release dopamine. That’s is why it’s called feel good hormones. Which is good to motivate you for doing something meaningful.
But in modern times, the humans have discovered hyper stimulus or ultra stimulus active. That will provide flood of dopamine to the brain with little to no effort.
For example, to eat the favourite food and get dopamine, you will have to do the hard work of cooking the meal first.
But nowadays you have online food delivery app.
This is where things go bad. When you receive dopamine with little to no effort.
Qorn, social media, internet, TV shows are the example of such cheap dopamine.
This excessive flood of dopamine, destroy the capacity of brain to work hard for dopamine. And people go lazy.
The only way to fix it, is to stop doing these highly stimulating activities for few days. Just like Nofap. And in few days you will get back your normal brain function.

Now I can get this. Yes, it makes us to be lazy for every action. But for me, I deleted all the social media apps since last year but something is not going good evertime like I started to use this app occasionally at first however time spend on this app is 1+ hr a day. Tbh nothing seems to engage all the time but my mind tells me to open it once. Max is 50+ times.

I recently found a hack to keep my mind engaged
First is focusing on studying
Ans second is plants.
I planted any random things around.
I have grown a mango from seed in a pot, Some pulses from groceries.
Some plants i rescued from my neighborhood garbage. And even some rotten plant from few nursery around my locality, that were rotten and about to be thrown.

Or try learning musical instrument.
Learning coding

Or anything that peaks your interest
