Prn or Dopamine Detox?

My friends,
I have done better an worse with watching no videos. All in all im on the right track and feel, that i dont need it in my life I felt however, that i was shifting to Instagram doom scrolling or tick tock instead for fast dopamine.
How are you dealing with social media?

I only use WhatsApp… I only use other social media platforms for posting piano videos.
Other than WhatsApp I don’t think you “need” Instagram or tiktok. Uninstall them for a while, and then when you really need them, use them wisely. But spending time without them for now is the best option. You need to realize how beautiful life is without social media!

I deleted them from my phone(except whatsapp & Linkedin), only using others on desktop. It really helped me.

I had to delete socials like Insta, TikTok and YouTube because they are triggers for me.

That’s dangerous. In my opnion we have to learn how to ignore the triggers in social media.
I used to use this method
Now I use instagram but I blocked the reels and the search section.
But I am afraid that without blocking I would get a trigger and relapse

Sometimes a time off is needed. I was once hooked on YouTube and it took me just 3 days without phone to completely lose all interest in YouTube because I was happy with other things in life. This also helps with PMO addiction.

You are contradicting yourself here, in my opinion.

This fear needs to be removed. That’s exactly why I always advice to get some time disconnected from this digital world to focus on yourself. Because once you focus on yourself, you can reprogram your mind. Fear comes when you are in a state that you weren’t expecting/hoping to happen, it causes a shock and disturbance at first and keeps hunting you until you do the temporary relief. This fear needs to be uprooted. Putting blockers on reels and search is like keeping healthy food next to a chocolate bar and cake. Why not just eat healthy food and only and realize how good it is or at least get used to it. You will automatically lose interest in that chocolate bar.
That’s just my opinion.

Yes it can be strange but my goal is to reach 30 months first. I always lost because of social media. But I use snapchat, tiktok and there I learned how to use wisely
