Pornography and Gaming

I’m gonna have a herb garden in my home in future and then I’ll renounce modern tablets. At least for the minor disorders like fever and all.

I have also choosen meditation for the stress relief…

Some choose pmo as a way to release stress.
But we are not among them:om::om::tiger2::tiger2::tiger2::tiger2:

A friend of mine recently got into opioids due to slight self diagnosed depression. Her mother is a doctor and she forged a prescription to get some very restricted drugs - antidepressants and whatnot. She contacted me when she was confused about taking them, scared and lost, I strictly told her no and to throw them away at once, we had agreed on that but the poor thing gave in after a few days, thinking the drugs would give her some respite from her problems. It was insane, she got further and further down to the spiral after that. Jusr 2 days back, she popped around 8 of those pills in a span of 30 minutes. That did so much damage guys, she suffers severe withdrawal right now, her mother found out, and her family is now shattered and shocked. If she had taken just a few more of those pills, she’d have fallen into a comma or worse…Never ever take these painkillers or antidepressants… It’s insane how dangerous all of that are. Please do not even think of taking them for whatever reason, unless mandated by your doctor.

Edit : the sad thing is, I don’t even think she has what qualifies as depression, medically. I think she couldn’t face some problems in life and just took what she felt to be an easy, comfortable path, too scared to face even the slightest stress. She made herself believe she had depression and that is why she need not face any of her problems, just as an excuse.

Exactly brother @neetwarrior drugs are not a solution theyare the problem themselves.

Instead of drugs the family could have planned an outing. Even going to meet some relatives also solves the problem…
Drugs and pmo increase the depression and not eradicate them.
What important is to change the mindset and come out of comfort zone.:om::om::om:

This is a very awesome post! Thanks for the verse!

But yeah i am probably repeat myself over and over, but it is a very important to know every thing you do comes out of the reward center should your complete or do it.

We have wrong and right in all and we can’t cut out everything otherwise life will be pointless and bland.

It is good to have something like gaming or reading, but it is what you do with the gaming or reading or series watching.

Look not everyone is perfect and sadly not staying a 100% religious, but when you repent and your bond is stronger in a diffrent way. I am not saying to sin today and repent tomorrow and repeat or leave and then return after a while. No, definitely not, but if you skipped a while in praying for example you’ll notice somethings missing and pray again. We all have experienced it at a point in our lives.

It is also like I said you have to implement control. Control your environment, control your thoughts. Also you carry the responsibility in everything you do. Why can’t I play games for an hour what makes it so bad?

It is the same for reading a book or watching a tutorial video on how to solve a Rubik cube for example? Why can’t I watch how stuff is build for an hour. Why can’t I relax for a day?

Why do I have to make my life full of work and you have to gym and you have to stay away from social media etc.

It makes life sound like utter suffering. Sometimes if I play games it is my way of motivating me to beat a problem or feel okay about a stressful situation also to celebrate my success! And this boost me in to being more productive and I can control it. To play for an hour is totally doable and I can still go and workout, study etc.

Stay strong and awesome and good luck out there

I use L-theanine and/or adaptogens like Ashwagandha, Rhodiola and others, along with good nutrition and exercise. People can actually suffer from depression just because of poor nutrition and lack of exercise but there are so many better ways than what they push over the counters. I’m very wary of any pharmaceuticals. Knowledge is power.
