Proverbs 21:17

It provides a good foundation to think and reflect about diligence.

I have been thinking about the importance of taking every task seriously and doing it carefully and with love as If it is being done for God.

Colossians 3: 23-24

Can someone suggest me the coorect version/ publication of Bibe to read.
I am from a different religion but I am open minded and want to read Bibe .
I don’t know anything about the intricacies about reading Bible.
Can you Guide me please?
How do I get started in reading Christianity’s religious messages?
Is some practising christian required for me to understand few words or messages in bible or will i be able to read them alone?

The bible is a compact collection of 66 books, and it is divided in two parts.

The first part is the old testament: it goes from the book of Genesis to Malachias.

The second part is the new testament: It goes from Matthew to revelation.

I suggest that you start reading the new testament. Because it will help you understand the old one.

Yes, you can read it alone. The central message of the bible is salvation through Jesus Christ.

Understanding the central message, Will help you understand all the bible.

Isaiah 41:10 reminds me of the words to an old hymn:
“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
for I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”

@Kanzo just take your time if you miss a few days that is okay. God understands if you get distracted. God knows your heart.

1 Samuel 16:7 KJV But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

This is a comforting thought when I feel my unworthiness. He is kind regardless.

Here’s a couple of passages that I really liked!

Isaiah 43:1-2
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
