Today’s Reading Completed! :white_check_mark:

These were some verses from today’s reading that I think are a good reminder in this fight:
Proverbs 14:12
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Too many times, when we’re having an urge, it seems so right to just give in, but it just ends up tearing us up inside, and creating unrest in our souls.
2 Corinthians 6:15-16
“And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
Another reminder to us, as Christians, on why we should flee from pornography and masturbation. As long as it’s calling the shots in our life, it’s an idol to us.

God Bless Y’all!

Hey, I’m a little late posting my progress :man_facepalming:. I completed the readings from 09/15/2024, and 09/16/2024.

I know this was from yesterday’s reading, but I really liked it!
Psalm 107:8-10
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;”

And from today’s reading:

Proverbs 16:18-19
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Even in my own life, I’ve thought that I was doing well, and that I was above failing at times; but when I got that attitude, I ended up right back at square one. It reminds me of Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 10:12, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”

God Bless You In Your Fight!

My favorite verse from today’s reading was Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Something I haven’t noticed before today, but some of the portions in Isaiah really remind me of the Psalms for some reason. It’s actually pretty cool!

@Kanzo I can definitely see what you’re saying!

One of my favorite verses from today’s reading!
Proverbs 18:10
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

And, a great reminder in our fight!
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Praise God for His mercy! :raised_hands:

Proverbs 19:19
“A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.”
A reminder to me to keep anger in check.

Psalm 108:13
“Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.”

It may seem weird for me to mention this verse tonight, but I know that in this life, we have spiritual enemies (the devil and his demons), and we have the enemy of our fleshly lusts. And it’s an encouragement to know that through Christ our Saviour, these enemies will be “tread down” in our lives, and in the life hereafter, will be eliminated! The fight is not forever, and victory is nearer than we think!

God Bless Y’all!
