I think what you are experiencing is very normal and physiological. You might be in the higher spectrum of it when you were actively involved in those thoughts.
And erection is not always related to erotic experience.
For eg, I don’t know why it happens but I tend to get erection initially when I enter a garden/forest even with no urge or erotic thoughts towards plants😆and if around a beautiful person, erection might or might not happen with me irrespective of my state of mind.

As a character though, I definitely see you and him on similar grounds. For as much as I’ve known you. He tries to help everyone possible, no matter who that is.
The kid who first cheered for him is the kid whose balloon was stuck on a tree and he got it out. It was a very small thing, but for that kid it meant a lot. And when he cheered, everyone followed him.

It’s just 24 episodes. There’s another character with indomitable will there, called Metal Bat. More you hit him stronger he gets.
And of course the main character Saitama has it too. He’s mostly the side character though 
because he’s way too strong.
