I am very happy to help you, brother. Everytime I come across someone who goes beyond his capabilities, I cannot help but admire them, to be inspired by them, especially when my own life has gone down so drastically. 50 DAYS COMPLETED ALHAMDULILLAH :tada::smile:

I have forgotten that tomorrow exists. I only know today. I just to have not PMO today. Even in the worst of Flatlines and the strongest of urges, I am still in control and I can control myself for a day. That’s what I am doing. Just focusing on today. Just focusing on the present moment.

Thinking about future and getting anxious is like burdening yourself with the urges of the future. And this makes you doubt your abilities. Forget tomorrow, just live today.

Marathon runners don’t think about all the miles they have to run. They just focus on their next step. Otherwise the burden of target would cripple their Willpower to continue. Same is the case with noPMO. Forget 90/120/180 days. Just focus on today.

Don’t count the days, make the days count.

Just don’t fap today. Forget yesterday and don’t think about tomorrow. All you have under control is today. Live this day the right way. And keep living it better and better. Each day the opportunity is new and so is the threat.

People relapse even after 1 year because they start living each day less better. Eventually they fall back and relapse. On that day, they didn’t stop peeking. And they kept scrolling. Rest is history. They regret, “I lost 500 days!”. THEY ARE WRONG! . There is no 500 Days!. The past is gone. They only have present. And they lost that day because each day is a new battle.

So just make today your new best day :innocent:

Short term goals are the key to success.

Just forget about 90 or 120 days. Just don’t Fap today.
When the urges hit, just say you won’t relapse for 6 hours. You will be saved. Because otherwise you would have thought you had to live with those urges for your whole life. But no, the duration of urges is just a few minutes, max 1 or 2 hours!.
Just make today your new best day.

I personally think PMO initially is an addiction. When the chaser effect is over and you abstain successfully for 60 days, it lessens from addiction to a bad habit, from abnormal desires to normal desires.

Then, you just need an opposite good habit, routine, environment and short term and long term goals to overpower the bad habit patterns. Day by day your positive actions become a stronger habit and you are free of addiction and compulsion, (not free from sexual urges).

Then relapse is a choice, not a compulsion!.

They later game after 60 days is not of urges, but it’s a battle of mental arguments. The idea to relapse is a suggestion, not a compulsion. And if you peek, that suggestion grows into a compulsion under influence of hormones. Guard your eyes and the compulsion would end.
Being humans, we will always feel urges. It’s our positive habits that coexist with our natural desires.

So in recovery, ABNORMAL desires change into NORMAL desires. And you learn to live with those natural desires.

There is no power or might except Allah. He will guide you and protect you when you will be in danger. Just ask His help and support.

Best advice that helped me reach day 60 are:

  1. Offering 5 times namaz in masjid (it really helps… Try it… Really namaz protects us… And if it’s on a specific time, you have to pray and so you cannot think about relapsing or wasting time.

  2. Staying busy… Really,… You get strong urges and dirty thoughts only when you are bored and have free time.

  3. Just think about today. You only have to not relapse today. Forget past, and don’t worry about future.
    The urges, desires and difficulties of the future are the responsibility of the future you… Not present you!. So just focus on protecting yourself today. You can protect yourself for a day… So just protect everyday one day at a time.

  4. Protect your eyes. Don’t go near Triggers. I myself haven’t seen even a movie, series or anime in 60 days!. I was addicted to these series too!. I haven’t used social media too. I only use Whatsapp for messaging important stuff and YouTube on browser and not app, to watch religious and inspiring videos… This really is helpful…
    The less you see opposite gender, the less you will be Triggerd, less urges, less risk of relapse.

These are some really helpful duas… Make a habit of praying them.
Read these duas every day in morning and evening… And when the urges hit.

You know deep down that porn and masturbation have never been helpful. They have always made you feel guilty afterwards. You always feel weak after it. It takes away the desire to study or workout or anything productive for that matter.

And you Relapse and masturbate to porn not just because you want to enjoy and be happy for real. It’s because the addicted brain takes over your reason and judgment. It makes you blind. It forces you to only think about opposite gender. It takes away your focus. It makes you irritable. It makes you insomniac when you have to sleep because there is work or college tomorrow. It makes you MISERABLE.

Don’t you think it’s like a dumb crying child that makes your life miserable just because you won’t buy him snacks or toys. Well guess what, that child believes if he can make you miserable, you will cave in.

So here is the plan. I know you don’t want to Relapse. All these years, you have not been jerking off. No… You have been trying not to jerk off. You have been training to self control. You want to quit. You don’t even like porn and masturbation. It’s all the same. Watch porn. Jerk off. Regret… Relapse… Watch porn… Jerk… Regret…

What a dumb cycle. I know you are tired of it. So you only need to abstain from porn and masturbation and from ALL TRIGGERS. Also make your day busy, productive… You already know what to do… Exercise… Study, meditation… That you already know…

You will feel miserable. You will feel being pulled closer to your old habits like a magnet when you face a trigger. But stay strong… For if you abstain for 6 months… I am sure that addiction will be broken for sure… You will feel better. Don’t aim for 90 days or 120 days… Aim for 6 months at least…

Infact aim for improving every single day. Don’t get trapped by counting days without focusing on building mental resistance to triggers.

Remember. If you don’t improve everyday… Man you are moving closer to Relapse.

If you want to quit, be prepared to face your ownself trying to argue you into Relapse. Be prepared to feel miserable.( looks opposite to the easy peasy way but let’s be honest, withdrawals are real). You are fighting yourself. The only way to beat yourself is to become stronger than your present.

First step… Believe with all your mind, reasoning and heart that YOU DON’T NEED PORN AND MASTURBATION. YOU DON’T NEED TO RELAPSE. YOU CAN LIVE WITHOUT THESE TEMPORARY SEXUAL PLEASURES.YOU CAN QUIT!!!. ITS POSSIBLE

( I’ve been mastubating for 11 years and these pleasures are always overrated. I can live without them. I won’t die… There are more fun and pleasurable things and activities than PMO).

Urges are nothing more than mosquitoes!:smile:

Yesterday I was horny all day!. But I was so busy that I didn’t felt bothered by my urges. I also kept changing my physical place from home to Masjid at time of namaz.
I rediscovered that even if urges are extreme, if you are busy and keep moving like from your room to living room where there are people, those urges won’t bother you.
Just like mosquito, if you are still, you’ll get bitten and then the pain will bother you a lot, you will think it’s the greatest problem. But if you keep moving physically, or keep slapping the mosquito, it will die and not bother you.

Hence, urges are nothing more than mosquitoes so just keep calm, relax! And

1. Keep yourself busy

2. Keep changing place

3. Keep calm, you are stronger than your urges!!! You can not only just fight but also win!.

These are golden tips and I cannot emphasize how awesome and practical they are. If you find it hard to deal with urges, do use them!.

Yes, u read that right. Do this and you won’t relapse that day or anyday. 12 to 14 minutes is the entire duration of urges (and also extreme emotions like anger) on the human body.
You don’t have to control for 100 days or 180 days… Just control 12 to 14 minutes!. Do this every time an urge arises…

1. Detach yourself from the source or trigger
2. Focus on some other thought to let the triggering thought vanish
3. Change your position, go stand up and walk to a room with people… If you are standing, then sit down.
4. And plan your next task… Stay Busy… An empty mind is the devils workshop.
5. Just focus on today… Save yourself for today… Forget past. Forget future. Live in the present!

Guard those 12 to 14 minutes and YOU ARE SAFE!!!

You can do it! Now practice it and make it habit. :smile:
