I have been struggling with PMO addiction for the majority of my life. I would really love to find a companion to keep each other accountable to our recovery goals through daily interaction. It seems the idea of an accountability partner has gone out of fashion. For example, I’ve used NoFap.com in the past but they no longer have a section for finding an accountability partner. This makes me sad because I really do think consistent 1-on-1 interaction would be the most helpful for me. I have never gotten much motivation out of group challenges or from reading forums.
The problem is, I have an iPhone, so I can’t download this app and am just using Rewire Companion through the browser. I’m not even 100% sure of my sharing code, because I can’t find the equivalent of “Add Companion” in the browser. I only figured out the sharing code I put above because I did have this app 6 years ago (when I owned an Android phone) and it turns out I had made a post with this same account at that time, so I’m assuming my sharing code is the same. But I don’t know what will happen if you add me. I am able to access DMs through the browser so if you just DM me I think that should work. And then we could either communicate through DMs here, or potentially arrange to chat on Telegram or something.
Right now my priority is overcoming addiction to P, with less focus on MO. But as a companion I’m happy to help with whatever your own recovery goals are. I am only looking for a male. To be upfront, I am gay, but I don’t believe that makes a difference. I am also single and I might do better with an AP who is single because they can relate to similar challenges of loneliness, but that is not a requirement.
