Mav's Diary (20 M)

Day 1 Completed

Today one day is completed as on 5 PM today.
I did exercise and meditated for 1 hour and tried to increase my work productivity as well. I managed to study around 5 hrs by 5 PM today including classes, notes and revision of CA Intermediate. I did get some urge to edge but I resisted the same by diverting my attention either by walking a few mins or by talking with my family members.

The most important thing which helped me to prevent any kind of triggers was absence of internet. Yesterday my data plan expired and I do not have a wifi in home. So I have not recharged and just used mom’s phone hotspot when required for any tasks requiring internet. Further my classes work on laptop so removed the date and time from taskbar which again helped me to focus to complete the task rather than to look at the clock to take break and stop the same.

Hoping for a great journey ahead !

Day 2 Completed

Today it was another fine day, was mostly busy with classes and notes which made me engage for 8 hrs 16 mins on study. I did feel urges but just diverted the mind by going outside for a 5 mins walk.

For sure, there is a rise in my productivity and feels like a new me but I know this is the current motivation which may subside over time, but I will try to atleast be busy in a day for 8 hours with study and also making the habit of exercising and meditation, ensuring that I again never lose the fight to demon and this time I emerge as the winner like of a WWE match at the end of 90 days period.

Relapsed on Day 3

The day was going well but some force took over me leading me to edge in the day and then I even faced nightfall which must be the result of edging in the day. So as I mentioned even a peek for me was a relapse, I will be again starting the streak today and will try to avoid any sorts of edging or anything.

I realize that the biggest battle one fights in life is with oneself.
I sometimes really doubt that will I even be free from this serious addiction ever.

Hoping for a fresh start with new day and expecting to fulfill your expectations my fellow members.

This is always true. Different people have different backgrounds and characteristics so we have no point to compare with others. It’s our own weakness that we need to overcome.

You will be free, for sure. You’re in charge of your mind. Stay determined and seek support from us whenever you need :slightly_smiling_face:

You have what it takes to succeed brother. Never lose hope.

You have enough self-control to break free permanently. There are those with genuine comprising mental and psychological conditions which hold them back, and they compulsively masturbate even when they are in public. Thankfully, that is not you. You aren’t broken. You aren’t too damaged to be healed.

Learn to be fully aware of your state of consciousness as you’re experiencing the urges. Listen and you’ll recognise a voice in your mind, speaking to you.

Day 3, I won’t make it past today, I’m too addicted. And I saw that hot girl on social media yesterday, that triggered me. If I won’t relapse today, it will definitely happen tomorrow so I may as well get it over with and start afresh.

Whatever tricks that voice has up its sleeve, recognise that it is not you. It’s pretending to be you, but that’s not your voice. You started this new journey fully intending to be clean. Not even a peek. And you definitely weren’t going to leave room for edging. Learn how to distinguish between your voice and the voice of the addiction within your mind, and you will gainntye confidence to be free permanently.

This 30 minute video is a crash course in exactly how to do this. Tens of thousands of people have used this method to quit drugs, alcohol and pornography for good. It can work for you too:

Day 1 Completed

The day was nice, thanks to the advice and motivation by @ToThy and @Forerunner.
I was busy throughout the day with my studies and revisions which kept me busy for good 9.5 hrs. I did get a thought for the same ditch but I avoided it by thinking that I regretted just a day before when I took a walk with the demon.
