Whooooo!!! Its day 7:confused::slightly_frowning_face::relieved:

Day today is 1, but I don’t feel I am dumb, because unlike other people I know what’s my job.
I haven’t lost I have just found out 200 ways that won’t work.
So let’s try another way
Safegaurd - whenever the urges come ignore them, neither say no nor yes just forget about them. If you can’t control let’s leave the work for a while, pickup a ball and play with it. Throw it on the wall and catch it. Still if not able to control then go and stand outside your house. In India many people sit or walk outside and you won’t feel like opening your pants in front of them. If you’re not insane. Most important thing never touch the part between your legs at any moment, don’t spendore than 2 minutes in toilet because no one takes more than that to pee and never in any case take off your pants. Always wear proper, clean clothes. At last if still I fail to control urges I go out to a nearby lake on my cycle, my mood will get refreshed that way because that lake is very beautiful and it is around 14 kms from home.

Safeguard: No conscious movement toward lust :white_check_mark:

I am sorry that I have not participated in the forum for the last 4 days. I have been super busy with meetings and family. Everything is going well. No lust hits, no lust thoughts. God is blessing me. I will take another 24 hours. By the way I am still losing some weight now down to 198 lbs. This is good for me. I started at 210 and my goal is 170. So that is my check in.

I wish each of you strength and communicate where you are at in your journey with lust. If you have a hard time to not think of fantasies, porn images or videos or stories, of if things bother you, then share it. It helps to stay strong. This addiction thrives on one thing: SECRECY. That is it. If you keep it all inside and you don’t share your stuggles with your brothers that are in the same place, you will move ever closer to the edge and fall. Another saying that I have heard a lot in recovery from addiction to pmo is: Its our secrets that make us sick. Anyway just some things to think about. I am not pointing at anyone, these are just things that have helped in my journey.

@Keats - Alcoholic addict have a saying: If you don’t take the first drink, you won’t get drunk. An addict has a hard time stopping when he has taken the first drink. Move your goal post there. Find out what is your first drink, the first time you go from stone-cold sober to a little closer to the first drink. For me it’s LUST. I can’t take the first drink of lust, if not I am starting on the path to ■■■■ (me being drunk on lust). Think about it.

I know for myself that every time I have relapsed, I have allowed even entertained thoughts of lust in me. I have said that it was ok because I was not viewing ■■■■ or masturbating. I was just thinking about it. What is the difference really.

If I can win the battles in my head, I can stop the urges before they even happen. It’s not easy but I cannot afford the freedom of lusting. Anyway, just something to think about.

Seventh Day Checked In.

I feel amazing. Honestly, it has been a while since I felt whole. It’s all thanks to this community.

I’m going to start tracking two habits for anyone interested.

1 - how long it takes to gain 10 Kgs in the gym.
2 - how long it takes to finish a 500 page book.

The first has always been a goal of mine ever since I reached 80 kgs, I thought 90 would be perfect but I’d always falter around the 86-87 kgs mark. The idea now is to change my approach, documenting the data will help me identify and tackle the difficulties of weight gain (diet, plateau, fatigue). Hopefully this can help anyone looking to put on some weight & how to go about it.

The second is one I’ve been putting off for as long as I could remember. The idea is to figure out just how long reading X amount of pages takes for the average person (like myself) and noting how much each reading session takes, it’ll make having an approximation easier & give reading a finite appeal because I’ve always wanted to pick up Don Quixote, Moby Dick & Ulysses just to name a few but the amount of pages would just put me off . I’ve managed to pick up James Clear’s Atomic Habits (the good stuff, practically relevant to my journey), a decent 500 pager which I’ll attempt to finish in ten days or less at a 50 pages/day rate.

Consistency is the name of the game. Let’s get it.

Check in day 14

Now I have a job again. My biggest issue is I am starting to overthink everything again. I just start thinking negatively about little things and Its affecting how I view the situation. Surprisingly, controlling urges is way easier than controlling these thoughts. I’m working on it. I just have to center this habit to push me toward the big goals I have
