Is it actually a relapse?

Well I have seen this word “relapse” being used when someone breaks their streak. But it’s real meaning is

Is it a good practice to be this harsh for breaking their streak?

If someone faps after 50 days, and quickly bounces back with a 7+ day streak again, is it a “relapse” ?

I feel lapse is a better word unless ofcourse someone is in chaser or fails repeatedly.

Lapse literally mean relapse but happening again and again. For a person trying no fap for the first time and if he slipped then its called lapse. But for us its not the first time and hence the name relapse.

But lapse seems to be a more positive word because if you search it , its written temporary failure which is more positive because its atleast temporary.

Personally i like to call slip because unlike lapse slip is a sudden loss of control and we have the power to come back on track asap.

There is a lot of difference when someone relapses 8-10 times between 2 big streaks and 1-2 times between 2 big streaks.

Well the word re means again so it doesnt matter if you relapsed less or more since its not the first time.

But cmon these are just the words , whether using harsher or softer words the only thing that matter its beneficial to us

Yeah that’s true. My only concern atm is how to minimise damage during chaser. Because since Aug 2023 I either have a 50+ day streak or in a chaser loop.

Tbh when I broke my 3 digit streak in march this year it wasn’t withdrawal. But the stupid decision of using an app and thinking online girls are sane enough to not show body parts. That’s where shit went south and well, story is long but yeah that’s the thing.

Interesting question
For example If a drug addict start to use drugs again then people say he relapsed

But in this community If we break our streak we say it is a relapse and it is good because everybody understand it.

Yes you are Right
This is reality
