I need advice for my high libido

What do you guys often do to lower your libido? And what can I substitute to do because I masturbate every night to fall asleep.

Low libido, in nofap journey there will be a duration of 2-4 weeks where you will have Low libido and a major brain fog. Your brain will force you to masturbate but dont.

And do lot of productive work, exercise, yoga, read books and eat your dinner at 7pm and after that do some exercise lighter one. After that you can fall asleep. Also you can engage with opposite gender to know their feelings about this, I have also asked few girls about porn, which totally changed my decision and they also said we dont want you to be like that :pleading_face: which hit me hard.

Thank you so much :pleading_face::pleading_face::pleading_face: I’ll exercise everynight instead of mornings. It is a hard habit to break. Will definitely hit you up to ask for more advice whenever I get the urge. :persevere:

dont eat warm foods like eggs and nuts and stuff like that. also dont try to stay alone

Good call. But finish your workout atleast 2 hrs before sleepytime, else it is counter-productive.

Also,
1.try sleeping less than you normally do. I have found that sleeping 7-8 hours is bad for me and 5-6 is the sweet spot. Helps me dissipate the sexual energy. Everyone has their own. Experiment how well you do with less sleep.
2. Start your day early. This ties in with the first tip. Basically, we want to be exhausted and in the sleepy mood :yawning_face::sleeping: come night so you pass out as soon as you hit the sheets. Meditation, productive work, yoga etc helps fix your cycle faster.
3. Also, stay the fuck away from screens atleast 2 hours prior to sleep time religiously.

The only long-term viable solution for quitting MO forever in this respect is to have an impeccable cycle for your sleep and stick to it no matter what, so much that the time you sleep and wake up becomes a part of your identity. Anything else you do to handle urges and to divert your mind are short term fixes. They help you to start out and cover initial stages, but you have to work for long term solutions.

I also used to do that. Now I keep myself busy with some books.
When you have been doing it for long time, it is difficult initially to get sleep without it so try doing some exercise.
Those thought also come to your mind at night times a lot more than day, to stop these, I made a simple habit or slapping my face whenever such thought starts. :stuck_out_tongue:
It has not been easy, many days I have slapped myself 6-7 times out of it(no one said it was going to be easy to give up on habit close to 10 yrs old) . it’s also easy to stop those thought is beginning only.
You can try something similar :smile:

I thought libido increased on noFap? So whatever you’re experiencing of Fap is addiction, not libido, rt?

No no no you have to do light exercise at night like jogging. And you have to do heavy exercise in morning and stay hydrated.

True that. The urge to fap is an addiction and compulsive behaviour. Not exactly high libido, we are combating the urge to fap and the tips I gave was to transmute and dissipate the sexual energy properly. Actually, libido and sexual drive is a good thing, but we need to know what exactly to do with it if we don’t have a partner. :smile::smile:

Meditation can be very helpful. Instead of doing masturbation you can observe the urge to masturbate when it come to you. The thing is this urge isn’t permanent. It will go away after some time. If you can just learn to stay with urge it might become easier slowly.

Agreed. The compulsion to masturbate is different from libido. Libido is a certain tingly feeling for me, through my whole body. This never happened during my 7 years of heavy pmo. Now, since I’ve been doing nofap, I get it occasionally. It comes up when I’m interested in a girl. It’s kind of a feeling which makes you get up and go, to ask the person out. The urge to masturbate does the opposite. It makes you stay indoors and get comfortable. Being comfortable never got anyone far. We need to make ourselves uncomfortable, like with cold showers. My cold showers have been lacking recently, so today I will do a maximum cold shower with my head under the shower, which I normally don’t do.

Also, keeping your phone away from bed, and using a real alarm clock, will help catch the urges before you grab the phone and go on the hunt for whatever your urge wants.

Yeah gud question.The night is main villan for u s I think😂 .while sleeping just think about from morning wht have u done till night and think about wht u r going to do nxt day morning with strict schedule. When u find mistakes keep asking u r self that y I am is not able to that work.make a pushiment of u r self.

Update:
The cold shower felt amazing.
5 minutes or so, didn’t time it, in the coldest water that’ll come out of the shower. It was 14°C outside, so not too cold, but not warm either. First time in months I’ve showered this long and cold, and full-body. I strongly recommend you try this. Making yourself uncomfortable is a very good way to grow as a person, and definitely helps with nofap. You will be less likely to seek comfort, e.g. by doing pmo.

I CANNOT stress the importance of cold showers enough. You can feel the darkest brain fog, the doubts, the urges, lack of motivation, lethargy or pain, depression etc wash off from your body. It feels like you have been born again. You will feel like layers have shed off from you, tough layers you didn’t even know were there. … Guys just stop warm showers altogether.
