I’ve heard that many people here say that not to do it for someone else which I think is correct. I’m gonna do it so that my brain heals from the corrosive effects of pmo. But that reason is also a driving force. Thank you.

Well I’m a girl, so that argue doesn’t necessarily apply to me.
But I do find ■■■■ boring. Mainly because it is so obvious its all acting. Even the scenes are always the same.

It’s not merely that you are watching other men have sex with a girl that you like; instead, your criteria for finding a girl attractive becomes that other men want to have sex with her. That is what makes it “beta”. It is subconscious and you may not see it that way, but that’s what’s happening under the surface.
A real man with a well formed identity would be instinctively attracted to a woman who truly complements his personality and will turn out to be good for him in the long run. A man who is unsure of who he is will subconsciously depend on external cues (e.g., porn or mass media) to decide who he finds attractive, and will make poor relationship decisions.
There are of course problems with other genres of porn as well. For example, enjoying lesbian porn indicates that the guy wants a free pass and subconsciously hopes to be invited into the act by the women for basically nothing. And of course all porn-watching involves avoidance of reality and wastage of time.

A thought I had in the shower today. Haven’t watched porn and masturbated in a long ass time. I don’t even think about it anymore. I guess that is what true recovery means.
