HOW TO STOP WATCHING PORN

I want to tackle a sensitive topic because I know a lot of guys are dealing with this battle.

While the advice can be as simple as ‘stop watching it bro’ - and ideally that is all the advice you need, the insidious way that porn is linked with technologies and the chemical rush that it gives you can mean this isn’t always a straightforward path.

First, you must realise a few things about it:

Porn is used as a tool to demotivate and keep docile the male population.

When all your masculine energy is focused on or ‘tamed’ by pixels on a screen, you are much more likely to let your life fall into disarray, as well as have relationships that are lacking.

As a tool of domestication, young men with their energies diverted will allow degradation of their societies and mistreatment that they otherwise would not allow.

Porn is hyper dopaminergic, meaning it activates dopamine at a very high level. Dopamine is what creates the feel good factors whenever we complete something, its what makes life ‘enjoyable’ at a base level.

When our dopamine is being bombarded by porn, everything else dulls in comparison.

Conversations with friends are no longer as enticing, slowly becoming the only thing that is enjoyable to the brain.

Porn kills love, and when you cut it out you will feel a resensitisation of your life across all metrics. Holding hands and cuddling your girl becomes ecstatic, you return to a primal, sensitive and natural level of arousal. It takes around a full 90 days to completely reset your brains dopamine receptors.

TIPS TO STOP:

  • Block all adult sites on tech

  • If you’re busy doing things away from your PC, the potential to look at it is zero, so become as busy as possible! Get out of the house and be around people.

  • When you get the urge, STAND UP, HANDS UP. Say “WHAT AM I DOING?”. This is a pattern interrupt that will break the habitual cycle. Do some pushups instead.

  • Similarly, view yourself in the third person, illuminated by the computer screen, touching yourself like a goddamn monkey. If this image doesn’t shock you into stopping…

  • View the urge that controls you as a ‘demon’ as such. When we separate it this way, the battle becomes gamified and we can draw motivation from this. aha, not today!

  • Repeat “I am no longer the type of person that watches porn” . Not “I’m trying to quit”. Internalise this, and take each day as it comes. Don’t think in terms of ‘streaks’ as it creates pressure.

  • Give yourself appropriate sleep, and live a healthy life that uses up your physical energy so you’re too tired to fap. A healthy diet promotes neurorepair so make sure you do this too.

Ancient man conquered city and put fire to their enemies; will you let pixel warfare claim your life?

Take back control.
