How to approach journalling?

I’ve seen journalling suggested in various places on the internet but I have no idea where to begin or what to write about. And I know if I don’t feel like I’m doing it properly then I won’t stick with it. Any tips, tricks or suggestion?

You can add a few habits that you want to follow and mention which you followed throughout the day. This will keep you motivated throught the day to follow good habits because atleast few people will be keeping check on your diary.
You can even make an entry for expressing gratitude about certain things in your life.
You can mention your streak.
You can mention things/problems that have been bothering you. And try to find solution to them while journaling.
You can mention things that made you happy or sad.
Choose from all these according to your comfort. There is nothing right or wrong with journaling, it just keeps you in check.
