How not to feel horny?

I always relapse after 8-10 days before this:( i hope this will be my last. After a week i will feel horny and the urges to watch porn and fapping will come strong. I’m single now because i need to upgrade my life first before marriage. I need advice on this. What you guys usually do when you feel horny? How can you hold yourself not to feel horny?

Exercise, rigorous enough to make you sweat and increase your heartbeat to considerable levels. That worked for me

This is a stage bro during first two to three weeks these urges are high… and it happens with almost all of us… and it’s not just with PMO take any addiction for example… like alcohol for the first three weeks urges are high to drink alcohol but it’s upto us that if we really want to change our lives or not… and if we want to then we have to keep our will power whenever these urges come… I’ll recommend you to read easypeasy… it’s not like after three weeks the urges will suddenly disappear but it will be alot lesser… but then also if you can’t control yourself then I would suggest you that whenever that urge comes keep your phone aside and use that energy somewhere else like running or do push-up… meditate read some self help books etc… this is a phase and you’ll get through this… we all do… stay strong bro :muscle::muscle:

I have been trying something apparently called “feeling the urge”. I’m not entirely sure how to describe it but ill try. Basically, when you get horny you recognize the fact that you are having sexual urges, and that they are natural, not good or bad. You don’t act on the urge in any way, until it fades. I’m not sure how else to describe it but it seems to be working for me. Hopefully someone can explain it better.
I’m in a similar situation as you, trying to better myself ready for marriage (and other things too).
Been masturbating once a week for about 6 years
