How is it feels like to get a dopamine rush?

Does anyone know how to describe dopamine rush feels like? I’m curious :smiling_face_with_tear:

I think everyone who has had experience with pornography knows what it is

This is the truth.

@Nofapwarrior1904 You already know exactly what it feels like, you probably just didn’t call it that. It’s the high that you feel, that pleasure rush of chemicals while doing PMO. The fast heartbeat, the wide eyes, the visual and audio experience, the physical sensation, all of this we can call the dopamine rush.

And once that rush is over, there comes the dopamine crash where it feels like you’ve fallen from a building. You’re filled with misery, shame and regret.

okay, thank you, I’ve looked for answers about this in several articles I’ve read but the answers given tend to go in circles and make me confused… Btw I just found out about nofap 2 months ago and thank God I’ve only been a PMO addict for 3 /4 years

It’s the best time to break free bro. Keep going, you’ll be so glad that you left that darkness behind. True pleasure isn’t found in doing drugs like PMO.

@Nofapwarrior1904 It feels like being in acid, like an injection of opium diirectly in your nerves, and then after hours without it comes the crush, the agitation, sweating, cramps, goosebumbs, anger, frustration and a desire so high to consume again. That is the abstinence syndrom, in my country (Spain) we have a expression to be in that condition, translate it if you want: “Tener el mono”.

Bro I guess he was asking in general, not only pmo gives dopamine rush, a lot of other things also do, the best I can relate to dopamine rush now a days is when I am in gym and beat drop comes in the song which is playing in the background, which creates extra motivation to push myself in the gym. Everytime someone gets a boost of motivation to do something, there’s dopamine behind it.
Dopamine is actually responsible for all kinds of motivation, even our motivation to do small tasks is pumped by dopamine.
But yeah since our brains are evolution wise not yet designed to handle extremely high levels of repeated dopamine (drugs, pmo etc) our brain’s dopamime recentors get weak and our motivation to do small things gets weaker because our brain can’t detect that small boost of motivation.
That’s why we start enjoying and handling small things better when we get rid of these crutches because our brain literally starts healing.

@The_integrous_one You’re absolutely correct bro, my mistake.

It’s important not to demonise dopamine, it gives us motivation to do great things in our lives too. Not everything is about PMO
