Forgive yourself? Yes or Not?

Dear friends of the community who walk in my same boat; is it right to forgive yourself after committing 1 fap in 6 days, without resetting the counter? What do you think?

Forgive yourself. Self love is the key this is a part of lifestyle don’t chase numbers.

It’s your decision, bro. It’s your life, you set your own rules. Personally I will reset the counter. But again, it’s my decision. Yours doesn’t need to be the same as mine.

For me, self-love equals self-discipline. But I can’t decide for you. You have to do it for yourself.

It also depends on your goals or what you want to achieve.

What betrayed me was a too restrictive regulation, which also included not “grabbing” exciting thoughts, making sure that they were just passing thoughts, that just as they come, they go away. On the seventh day, however, I grabbed and lingered on one of those passing thoughts, doing edging and, disheartened by the failure, I made the situation worse by actually fapping.

I decided to forgive myself, because every time I was rigid in the penalty, it was more difficult to get up, perhaps erasing the mistake, recognizing the goodness that I allowed myself, I will face the path with greater strength. I believe that I must lean towards the decision that most easily helps me to move forward. Obviously you can be good by giving another chance and not another 2. The next time I fail, I will have to reset the counter.

How can you forgive yourself, fap means relapse. It will be not right to continue like this, peeking can be forgiven but not Fapping.

I reset the counter only 3 and a half days after fapping, not resetting it for that amount of time gave me more strength to continue. :muscle:
You’re right @robinbe_friend
