But high levels of cortisol, due to stress, inhibit testosterone, so that our brain will have feminine thoughts. I disagree with you When you say that someone is gay because they suffer from sexual abuse. millions of children have been abused, and almost no one is gay, only a few, so you can not generalize. I know brilliant people, with excellent families and without problems who are gay. And they didnt decide, they tell me they born like that. So why do not we criticize a diabetic type 1 child? They only are sick people who are accepting their disease (difficulty to having children due to lack of desire to the opposite sex) and we have to understand them.
Try to put yourself in their situation. What would you do if you could only have children by having sex with a man? It would be complicated, right?

I think that’s what really triggers those kinds of people though whenever you have an opposing opinion they get all fired up. So you can’t really have free speach or thought on why some people desire same sex.
Biologically it’s impossible because it would be the norm then to reproduce with the same sex.
Mentally it’s possible since we have phobias and other mental conditions like personality disorders that act like they are normal buts it’s really a past trauma or an influence from the past.
Humans in one way same or form when young will either grab what their friends are influencing when young or parents.
Influence can’t be escaped. Especially for children of young age who don’t know better.
I remember when my sister was trying to dress me up as a woman. Now i think it’s funny lol. But nothing happened to me cause I had male influence like my cousins playing soccer and other stuff. Some don’t have that and go the other route without realizing. It’s unconscious.

homosexuality is mostly due to the environment, note that the womb is also an environment. how your father and mother lived(especially your father) is a key factor in gene and hormones induced by the placenta in the womb.
so you can be born a homosexual. but at the same time the environment before and after birth is very influential.
maybe mother nature don’t want everyone and everything to reproduce.
@srubio @tmeidan93 (most of this post is addressed to srubio, but since you had similar points tmeidan, I added you too) I’m not sure that exactly makes sense to me. All children in the womb start out female then grow their reproduction organs based on their genetics. It’s all genetics. If you have a male reproduction system then that is going to produce the testosterone the baby needs and will make the person attracted to females naturally. The mother does not release estrogen when she is stressed, no one does. Further, stress from a mother cannot restrict hormone production in a baby because the baby is producing the hormones himself.
The mother could potentially restrict nutrients though or give chemicals that could alter brain chemistry to cause defects but I doubt it would alter sexuality since the childs reproductive organs are intact. Same goes for hormone pills, yes they may off balance the child’s initial hormone levels, but they would eventually level out due to his reproductive organs. Even more, the amount of homesexuals that exist is way too high of a percentage to have that be the only reason for their existence.
I’m not saying sexual abuse always leads to homosexuality, actually in many cases it can lead to the exact opposite, extreme promiscuity towards the opposite gender. But as @WalkWithoutFear said, brains are malleable, and everyone reacts in different ways, hence the larger number of homosexuals than should make sense if it were a mutation or some type of prenatal disturbance, but a small percentage of the population overall. And generally the sexual abuse assumption makes sense, I mean this stuff was pretty much completely unregulated until the 1990s in the US, and then with the whole “free love” movement in the 60s and 70s. Just look at all the registered sex offenders in California alone, with many of them having multiple victims. The numbers add up.
But I’m not saying they don’t have a right to be gay, they do. And I’m not saying they cant be successful, they can. And it may have not been their family members, it could have been a family friend, or a neighbor, or some older kid on the street. I know of cases where all of those have happened. And also a big thing with sexual abuse cases is to never assume that a family is perfect, any family can make a perfect image on the outside, but on the inside it’s completely different.
And yes the homesexuals may deny it, I mean who wants to admit that? But even more often, they are just repressed memories. that’s super common with sexual abuse cases. People can live their whole life without knowing what happened to them.
I’m not really sure what you mean by the type 1 diabetic example, you’ll have to explain that further for me to answer.
You are right that there is a greater risk of being gay if you are sexually abused, but my point is that we can not generalize that gays are people with problems in childhood or with repressed memories. It’s like saying that all shy people are shy because their parents did not give them the necessary affection (a theory of psychologists). But I would agree with you that in cases where the person has doubts (as in the case of this post) he should get help from a therapist that can help him with her memories.
Besides, I am not inventing the theory that I explain, if you want you can search about the role of prenatal hormones in sexual orientation. In addition studies have been done with twins that prove that there is a great genetic influence, not just a small percentage.
So in conclusion, if you are not sure of having fall in love with someone of your same sex, it is better to go to therapist.
I named the diabetic type 1, making reference that they born this way, and as society, we dont see them as people with problems. they are like gays but as you said not all the gays are “genetic gays”
also there are “gays due to environment”, they would be like people with diabetes type 2 that is caused by the environment and that society should try to control (the “confused or environmental gays”).
Ya I can totally agree that not all of it is caused by childhood sexual abuse, there could be other psychological problems for whatever reason, but we can agree to disagree on the “born gay” aspect. Ya Ive seen the studies, but no study is infallible. And not nearly enough studies have been done on this subject to declare anything a theory yet.
Personally I see the idea of “born gay” as a way to prevent them from getting help and just a accepting their condition. If they want to that’s fine, but I just don’t think it should be encouraged mainstream. But again, this comes down to personal opinion at this point, so we can agree to disagree. Homosexuality in genetics if it were ever to occur isn’t natural or naturally normal like say a woman with woman properties and a man with man properties which is common. Down syndrome, intersex, and other stuff are not common or normal. What’s normal? Something that you see really often. 90- 99% of the time. 30% or lower is not natural occurence.
So to say you can be born gay is therefore an abnormality and would effect the child’s hormones if that were the case like the issue an intersex has to go through everyday hormonally.
But a homosexual becomes homosexual either in adulthood which I have had a friend become homosexual in their 50s. Had a family and after became gay.
But as far I see it, my opinion it’s mostly influence that causes a person to be gay, straight, bisexual, etc…
Hormonally you cannot change what your sex hormone has unless by injecting something into yourself.
So when a child is a boy with male hormones obviously it will be more driven to do male things. But can still be influenced to go the opposite. But hormonally you can’t naturally change it.
