Go back through pictures you have of yourself from the past and
find one that captures the person you really are, deep down—
beneath these challenges. Try to find a photo that reflects your
true personality and feelings—before the addiction impacted
you—even if that means going back to baby pictures. Once you
find a good photo, post it somewhere in your room where you can
see it. If you want, try posting a picture of one of your heroes as
well—someone you look up to, someone that represents the type
of person you hope to become. That could be a family member,
a fictional superhero, or a real-life legend. The point is that you
will have a strong visual reminder of who you really are—deep
down—and who you want to become.
