A question to ponder and ask ourselves, to all those struggling Christians out there, like me

Romans 8:12-13
So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.:latin_cross:
Let’s take a moment there and pause and ask ourselves whether we have the Spirit in us to fight and help us get through this sin. For if we are lead by the Spirit we would so easily crucify our sinful desires of the flesh.
What does it mean to crucify ourselves?
Martyn Lloyd Jones describes it as doing everything for the glory of God alone. It is a realisation that we once were slaves to sin as we did everything to meet our selfish ends, but now it is doing everything, not for ourselves, or for other people, but for God and his glory alone.
The call for us believers is that we must pray for the power of the Spirit to help us when we are tempted and to remember to live according to the call of God, that is, we are called to be his Children, and sure it is unbecoming of his Children to be slaves of sin.
May the grace, peace and love of the Triune God bless you all and I, as we struggle with this sin.
